Event Description
Review Date : February 17, 2015
Embassy Review : I had my interview at the US consulate in Vienna, Austria today.

First I came in to ask what i am allowed to bring in concerning electronic devices. A man told me that phones and chargers are allowed though no ebooks or cameras.

Then they checked my passport and wanted to see my invitation.
Afterwards I put my bag and jacket on an X-ray machine for screening.

Inside i waited in line for "Window 5".
There were 2 ppl in front of me.

At the Window a lady greeted me friendly. She wanted passport, evidence of financial support, Ds 156K, my birth certificate, 2 photos, a police certificate and so on.

After giving her all these papers I went to Window 3 to pay for the interview.

Then I had to wait in the waiting area until a lady called me to Window 6 to interview me.

A young woman asked me to fill out a form and asked me to speak an oath. Then the fingerprints were taken.
Finally she asked where I met my fiance, If I have met his parents, if he has met mine, if he visited me since I left the USA.

It didnt even take 10 minutes.javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
