Event Description

Embassy Review : Hey there,

I had my visa interview today and it went amazing! It only took me 2 hours so I didn't have to wait a lot.

My fiance wasn't able to attend the interview which made me a little sad and nervous at the beginning but I knew I was ready and had enough evidence to show our relationship was real. javascript:emoticon('')

- My interview was scheduled at 7:45 and I went in through security at 7:20. After I left my cell phone I headed for the Immigrant/Non Immigrant Visa waiting room and gave my interview letter to the lady at the first door.
I was the first person in the room which made me so excited because after all this process I wanted to have the interview more than anything else.
The lady from window 11 called me like 2 minutes after I got there, asked me for my passport, pictures and form DS-160 and gave me a green form to go to pay the $265.00 fee.
After paying I went back to the waiting room and was called up again after aprox. 20 minutes. They asked me for all the documents like police records, birth certificate, Affidavit of support, medical results, evidence of relationship (pictures, plane tickets, etc). They also asked me some questions: When and where we met, how many times I visit him in the US and how many times he has been in Peru, when he proposed and how many visas I had before.
After that I waited for about 40 minutes until the CO asked me to come up. He asked me these questions: when and where we met, what my fiance does for work, how many times he visited and when, what my plans are when I get there, when and how my fiance proposed and if my family was supportive with my decision to leave my country. He also took two pictures from my folder and asked me who was the kid in the middle of us, I said thats my fiance's little brother and about the other picture he asked me where was this taken. After this he said well everything seems in order, your VISA IS APPROVED! I couldn't stop smiling and thanking him. javascript:emoticon('')

He said I will get my passport in within 1-2 weeks.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
