Event Description

Embassy Review : I flew in the day before the interview. No sleep the night before and arrived around 6am. Long lines that seem to be managed by volunteers that make their money on tips and selling pens etc. The security guards are not helpful. Once inside it was a bit of a run around, but organized just the same. The first interview was pretty intense and second one was as well. You truly never appreciate how your government can take away your freedoms until you are interviewing to bring your wife home. I just wish they would place as much effort on our southern boarder, but after all those of us going the legal path are so much easier targets. The end result was that we received approval and today received our visa.. I calculate that if our batch is a reasonable sample they are processing about 1,000 K1's per month there and the system seems to flow pretty well over all.

On to the next step in the near endless process

Wishing you a great journey!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
