Embassy Review : |
i had my interview at 8:00 AM yesterday... Luckily i have family in BC .. so i had a place to stay. i took the sky train the burrard station that morning and showed up to consulate 10 mins before my appointment. There was a line up on the right side of the building outiside. When i got there security asked to see my DS-160/passport/ passport photos. I brought my phone, but lucky enough they have FREE lockers for SMALL stuff outside. So make sure that you don't bring a big purse. only wallet/ phone and documents. i waited in line for about 15 mins then the security officer called me forward and looked thru my wallet and documents to make sure i wasn't hiding anything. After that another officer led thru the airport like security and after that ANOTHER officer led me up to the 20th floor. the whole time they are giving you instructions. once i got up to the 20th floor i was instructed to go to window B and flip the switch. the guy there took all my documents on the list ( besides divorce decree). Then he gave me a number and told me to wait.. i waited for about another 15 mins and was called up.. he looked thru all my documents and said they looked good ( make sure to only bring the documents on the list) . After he looked thru all documents he asked me how we met.. i told him and after that he said .. looks good and brought me over to window b where the guy gave me instructions on how my visa would be ready in 3-5 days. overall it was super easy. as long as your legit you have NOTHING to worry about. i was there for a total of 1 hour!! super fast and easy! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
