Consulate Review: Jamaica
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 11, 2015
Embassy Review : Interview was at eight he got there at 6. They were let in at 7:15. Hubby walked in and was given a number. Went to the counter and handed over birth certificate, police record and passport. Sat back down and waited about 45mins until the interviewers came in and started calling people. He was called 10 minutes later and Interview took about 15 minutes. He was asked:

Who filed for you?
Tell me about your wife?
When did you meet her? (2000 1st day of High School)
When did you actually start dating?
Have you been together all this time? (no broke up when I left after HS)
How did Your wife migrate?
When did you start talking again?
How do you keep in contact?
Have you seen her in person since high school?
When have you seen her? ( didn't give dates just sd her birthday, 4th of July, wedding, his bd etc)
How many people were at the wedding?
Who are they?
Have you met her family?
Do you have any pictures of the two of you?

Asked him to identify people in our various pics. Hubby brought abt 30 pics and he looked through them all. There was one pic that I told him to remove where he was licking the side of my face. He said when the guy got to that pic he laughed and the tone of the interview changed. He claims that's the moment he knew it was approved based on the guy demeanor.

What do you do?
What does your wife do?
Where does she live?
What's her phone number?

While he was being questioned he sd the guy was flipping through the skype/Whatsapp/ Facebook log I mailed with the petition and passages were highlighted and underlined as if someone actually read through it. I sent about 100 pages total spanning 5years. Skipped through to the end of the logs to the i864.Checked a box on I-864 that sd we met condition and then told him congrats your visa has been approved-Register for DHL and you should get your passport in two weeks. Gave him a brochure on "his rights" and sent him on his way. Told him it should be a week or two to get back his passport. Didn't ask for any proof or documentation.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
