Event Description
Review Date : February 2, 2015
Embassy Review : The K1 & K2 VISA payment advice that was provide on the travel docs profile website had the wrong payment amount. It as supposed to be $530 (2 * $265) the payment advice was only for $480. We are still not sure why this amount was provided. Maybe because I failed to complete a DS-160 for my fiance's child (K2). But that still wouldn't explain the $480 amount. Neverthless, after her interview on Jan 13, 2015 the consular said she would have to send in the DS-160 for her child and pay the remaining $50. I email and called the Embassy twice to see how they wanted us to pay the remaining fee. Finally, the Embassy responded with an email to pay the $50 and bring in the DS-160 on Mon. Feb. 2. We are currently waiting to see how long they say it would take before we will receive the VISAs.
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
