Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 26, 2014
Embassy Review : I am writing this review for my fiance who lives in Bogota. Our appointment was at 7:30am and she arrived at 6:30. She gave them her documents and waited for the interview. They did not call her for interview until 10:30, three hours after her appointment. The questions they asked her:
1- Where I work? (I being the fiance in US)
2- What is my job?
3- What was I to her?
4- Why was I asking for her?
5- If I was married before?
6- Was I divorced?
7- Has she been married before?
8- How old are you?
9- Where do you work?
10- What is your job there?
11- Do you want to live in the US?
12- Where did you meet?
13- How many times have you been together?
14- How long was your fiance here and what were the dates?
15- How long were you in the US and what were the dates?
16- Where does your fiance live in the US?

At 10:40 Bogota time I got the text that we were approved. Over all it was a pleasant experience but I wish the actual interview had been closer to the actual appointment time. But other than that we can't complain. I hope this helps my VJ friends out there in Bogota!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
