Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 25, 2014
Embassy Review : Here's the details of my day at isb embassy
Got taxi from hotel at 5am
Reached visa seekers shuttle service at 0520
Had to wait in cold as they open at 6am
6 to 7am...got ticket and wait
Reached embassy at 7:15...waited 10/15 minutes outside
Got in to the immigrants visa line
Got Token...
Waiting for biometrics
Another waiting for medical/passport collection
And another waiting for actual interview
This all took an hour...0725-0825
Than shortly I was called for interview at window... I had chosen English
Co was a white American (with beard)
After greetings he asked me the following
Who is called you.
How did you meet her
When did you meet her
Does she have siblings
How many and what's their names
Does she have a house, or who does she live with
When did she go to usa
What visa
How long did you live in the UK
What did you do their
Is she here with you( she was in isl but not at the embassy)
How do you communicate (I gave WhatsApp viber phone text msgs sheets)
Do you have her passport copy

During this he was typing on computer
He said "oh yeah I can see you went to a business school" he meant you well organised the documents
I had piles of docs,,
After few seconds of silence he said"approved "
I thanked and came out
Around 5 in the evening Ap changed to issued.....
Now tips

Be confident, ,, most important
You are not doing anything wrong...everything is genuine and true...so be confident

Take everything you have...from petition to interview letter and anything related to relationship

Organise your documents
Separate them with clips and in transparant pouch... I possible print the title page explaining what contains the folder.

If you think some information could be helpful for the Co to know but he doest ask.... You can give him that information with another question's answer... Appreciate

That's it
And most importantly pray regularly and make Dua for others too...
Good luck
Allah hafiz
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
