Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 12, 2012
Embassy Review : APPROVED!!!

July 12, 2012 6:30 am at US Embassy Manila

I know I dont have a good sleep, I woke up at 3:30am, get up myself ready. Eat some before you go to your interview. I double check my things again even though last night before going to bed I checked it lol... I think everything is fine so we leave home (with my mama&brother) at around 5am.

5:45 at US Embassy, many were in line already. There are 2 linesfor Immigrant Visa together with Fiance Visa then another line for Non-Immigrant and Sea fearers. They started checking our requirement upon entering the embassy. They will tell you to ready your Appointment Letter and Passport, they will ask what did thr St. Luke's gave you after passing the medical exam, CD or Envelope? then I answered CD with my vaccination record, they will put a Barcode at the back of your passport and also a barcode to your 2go slip for shipping it has the same number. then gave me ziplock plastic for passport the he said please enter to door #3.

As I enter to door #3 I thought that was the room for interview, not yet lol its for the checking of bags and checking of everything, no liquids, gadgets, or usb..all was fine in me so walk through the other line, it was window #3 she asked for my Appointment Letter and passport, then she gave me my queing number 6036 also another number attached to my appointment letter, dropped to window 39 as I enter the 2nd door of the other building. Checking of Bags again.

Waiting for my number to flash at the queing board, first appear of my # and go to window 43, I stand up right away because I was quite shocked hehe! then she asked whats my name and date of birth and a girl will assit you for finger printing. She said go back to my seat and wait again for my number. waiting.. .

At 7:05 number flashed again and go to window 49 the Filipino pre-screener. He looks so kind and just smile at me. I greeted him good morning and he greeted me back we talked in Tagalog. And he laugh because of my Name, and asked me if I have a tail like a fish because my name is Jessabelle its a siren in TV shows.. although not same spelling but it sounds like haha! questions asked:
-when is our wedding date?
-how did we met? and when is the first time we started chatting.
-what is the work of your husband?
-and he asked to look on our photos, I made 3 albums. and he look at them saying Palwan and Bohol are really beautiful.
He kept on writing and checking some papers then told me to go back to my seat and wait again for my number. I checked the time and it was 7:15 so more or less I talked to him in just 10mins.

Wait for almost 3hours for my final interview. 6036 at window 62 He looks like a cery strict Male Consul. I greeted him Good Morning sir then he said "How are you?" but I didn't understand what he said so I asked him "po?" haha! He said I was just asking if How are you? then I answered, I'm okay sir.. so here it goes, he asked me to raise my right hand for the oath taking... questions asked:
-Did you worked outside of the Philippines before?
-Have you ever applied for a Fiance or Tourist Visa before?
-How did we Met
-When is the first time he visited me, and when is the last time.
-When is our Wedding?
-How many times did I get married? How many times my husband got married?
-When did he got divorced?
-Do I have any kids? Does he have any kids? what are the ages.
-Do you want to have a Baby? then I answered, Yes sir, a Baby Girl

Then he said, ok I already saw your pictures together. Your petition are all fine and I approved your Visa :D I really asked him again. Sir, will I tell my husband that my visa is Approved? then he answered, "sure!" yay!!! then told me to go back to my seat to wait for my number to flash again for further instructions. I said thank you sir and he said you're welcome still he didnt smile and really had an eye to eye contact to that CO...

...he didn't asked for any additional documents, ( I almost bring all my personal documents, and all the copies of documents we sent to USCIS and NVC, our travel itineraries, cards, and money remittances..)

Wait again for my number to flash and I went to window 72, he checked my papers and I thing all were good so he said go to window 69 for shipping instructions and I told the man at the window that I will just pick up my visa at Mall of Asia then thats it.. finally!!! Visa Approved!!! then we ate lunch at Chowking and called my husband to tell him the good news!!! <3

Keep on Praying and with Him all things are Possible God Bless!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
