| Comments : | Now that I have calmed down a bit and talked with my wife, I believe the blue slip is based on several red flags: 1) Our short time period between meeting online and getting married (about 4 months). 2) Getting married on my first trip to Chongqing. 3) Not going back for a second visit before the interview (I have already made reservations for second trip in March!). Overall, not spending enough time together, short duration of relationship and marrying quickly! Hey, when you have more years behind you then in front, time is very precious when you meet the one you have waited your whole life for!! Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! |

| Embassy Review : | Interview today, 2/4/2010..I guess it's true about GUZ...it SUCKS!!! We were prepared, the officer even told my wife all the papers were in order but still given a blue slip!! She was told to "wait for investigation" WTF does that mean? Now she is on her way back to Chongqing in tears! No reason given for denial...I cannot believe my country treats its citizen's spouses in such a manner! It does appear these "civil servants" (great oxymoron!) have already made up their minds before the interview...why bother with them, save us $131 and send the blue slip in the mail!! I will write my congressman and FAX a letter to the GUZ embassy Chief, but from what I have read here, it would be for naught! Any suggestions? I need to get specifics from my wife as to what happened and how the interview went, she was too upset to give me the details, so I may be overreacting since I just learned the results tonight. More to come I'm sure...it ain't over til it's over!! Still PO'd though!! (updated on February 4, 2010) (updated on February 4, 2010) |
