Greencard Received: 2018-07-20
Comments : Arrived for 10:15 appointment at 10, and went through security and checking in just fine. About a half hour wait we were called back to a private office. We were both sworn in and our IDs and beneficiary's fingerprints taken. Asked simple questions like "how did you meet" "do you get along with the family" "where do you live". We showed her our wedding album and she loved it, asked a few questions about the wedding like "who attended" "what flavor was the cake". Then she proceeded to ask all the yes/no questions regarding the I-485. It took about an hour, and afterwards she said the interview went good and gave me a high five! They did give us a sheet of paper saying they would review the case, and they would be sending a request through the mail if they needed anything more. She said we would be receiving the green card within 10 days. I asked her about the removal of conditions process, and if we would get a stamp and she said no. My advice would be to just be prepared, and don't be nervous. If your relationship/marriage is genuine there shouldn't be any problems.

7-11-2018 Update:
Just got an email and phone call that it has been approved! Had to make another appointment for tomorrow at the USCIS office to finish signing paperwork.

Comments : Biometrics was waved, and I'm guessing due to Covid and delays we were never informed of an interview or sent an NOA. Only checked the case status on January 14th 2021, where it said the 10-year green card had already been mailed. Received the green card two days later.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
