Our Story
We met online in November 2003 through www.oncochat.org, a cancer support group online. His father had just passed from cancer in October 2003 and my mom had just been diagnosed with terminal breast cancer in September 2003. We talked on the phone and chatted online for months. We met face to face July 10, 2004 and by September 2004, we knew we were in love. Joel asked me to marry him...officially....September 14, 2005. Now, our journey begins. We're hoping our journey goes quickly now that mom has been placed on hospice and only has a few months left. We know she'll be there when we are married...either in person or in spirit. Joel is my life, my whole world....the love of my life and my best friend.
Edit: Mom passed away on December 3, 2005....seven years to the day that Dad passed away. I miss her more than I imagined. However, I know she'll be there at our wedding... in spirit. I love you Momma....
