Hi guys I just need your help...

I'll be flying on December 14, 2007 to Florida and I'm from Cebu. I didn't get a flight which starts here in Cebu but instead in Manila...

Here's my problem...

I already booked flight in Philippine Airlines from Cebu to Manila and my international baggage allowed is 2 and 32 kilos each baggage. How many kilos are usually allowed in Philippine Airlines for Cebu to Manila? Do I need to pay excess with my baggage??argghhh going crazy here :help:

When fly international flight and with connecting flights at either end. The connecting honor the international baggage rules, as long you have you baggage check all the way thu. From start to finish. I hope this will help you. I fly from Phoenix, AZ. to Cebu. With transferr in Los Angele, CA. and Manila. Do not have any problem going with the international rules on baggage. Piece of advice when flying international from NAIA..

Go below the suggested Check In baggage weight..

Why?

NAIA employees are crooks!! They will tell you that your baggage is over weight even if its not. Then try ask you for money for them to let you go.. Trust me.. They have connections inside the Check in booth.

Ive been a victim.. So I pass along my experience..

Don't bring any canned goods, water, anything with liquid.. IT IS NOT ALLOWED due terror alerts..

Stick to 1 carry on with weight less than 17kg.. NAIA staff harass people for that as well..

Beware...

When I had my international flight that was connected to my Manila-Cebu flight they charged me for excess baggage. I think it was under 700 peso. I had 3 suitcases and a carry on. I had about 20 kilos of chocolate alone. LOL On the way out they only charge I think 300 peso, because I left one suitcase there. I did get asked by every security screener about those little bottles that they make displays out of and put little boats inside. On the way back to the US I think I went through about 10 security screens between Cebu, Manila, Japan, Detroit, and Fort Lauderdale airports. I would just plan on having about 2,000 peso all together to cover fees and taxes. Also, if you stop in Detroit like I did, be ready to pay at least $10 for lunch at the airport because it is very expensive there, even the fast food restaurants.

What part of Florida are you, I am in Palm Beach.

I believe you have to pay excess unless your flight from Manilato Florida is via PAL too. I had 60kilos all in all but all my flights from Dipolog to Manila to San Francisco were via PAL so I didnt pay for excess luggage when I left Dipolog to Manila. Hope this helps.

 I guess you can call the airline and ask. Maybe if it will fit in a certain size box. If you are serious about this you probably would want to check on the largest size and max amount of pounds you can pay extra for...don't count on a connecting US flight to accomodate that though--if you have a connecting US flight.
