Questions About How To Respond Properly To RFE

Hello,

We received an RFE because we left the questions pertaining to current/past spouses blank on both of our forms. Specifically, it says:

Quote

You, P, need to answer completely and accurately the highlighted items on the attached copy of your Form G-325A. If any item does not apply, write "N/A." If the answer is none, write "none."

The beneficiary, D, needs to answer completely and accurately the highlighted items on the attached copy of your Form G-325A. The Form G-325A must be completed using D's information. If any item does not apply, write "N/A." If the answer is none, write "none."

And all of the rows of fields related to current and past spouses are highlighted.

I have several questions about how to respond to this RFE

  • Should we write the answer into the form that was returned to us, or should we print the original forms again (with completed fields!) and sign them, etc.?
  • My employment has changed, so should I change the data in these fields (assuming I am printing a new copy)?
  • When originally filing, we did not have a file number, but now we do (at least I think that's what the A# on the RFE is), so should we add this information to the form, or leave it blank as in the original application?
  • We are both currently abroad, so is it acceptable to submit the response on A4 paper?
  • If A4 is not acceptable, could be scan and have relatives in the US (who will be mailing this for us) print it on the proper sized paper (though without an original, in ink signature)?

Thanks in advance!

I think you should re print the form properly filled

if your financial situation changed then you should include a new I-864 with your RFE package. Just explain why on the cover sheet. Highlight everything etc they like it 😜

You can add your A number. It's not required though. I just put it on the cover sheet of my RFIE response :)

And about the paper I think it's fine. As long as it fits in their folders and can be easily disassembled everything is fine.
