Worried about BMI at the Medical next week

Hey all,

So I'm a little worried about my BMI at the medical next week at Knightsbridge. This year I've endured alot of sports related injuries, and so since the summer I've given up the gym temporarily until I can let my body rest and recuperate. I've put on quite a lot of weight, and my BMI now reads obese. However, theres a few factors that go into this...whilst I've put on weight for sure and chunkier than I did - I also used to weight train 5/6 days a week, so even at my fittest my BMI read overweight/obese depending on how much muscle I was carrying at the time. So I still have a fair amount of muscle under the fat, and I'm now worried that the combination of the fat and the old muscle which makes my BMI read quite high, is gonna give me a hard time?

Plan to get back to the gym after New Year!

They don't even check your BMI!

I was overweight (also classed as obese by charts) not a problem at all.

I've since lost 20lbs so all good lol

They don't lol? I thought they did?

Thanks - this is reassuring :) I plan to lose fat too, big time

Nope the medical really is a non event, people including me got highly strung about it.

Height & weight are checked, I actually said to the doc I need to lose weight (my moobs were rough!) but she was fine.

More interested in my tats!

Blood pressure, chest x-ray, inoculations, blood and wee test, that's pretty much it

I hear they don't even do the fanny or knob check anymore. lol

Yeah the genitalia check is gone I believe.

How long were you at the medical?

Maybe an hour and a half, I got there early, but a lot of the time is sat in the waiting room, you see a nurse for bloods and jabs, an x-ray tech, then the quack, its all very efficient
