Hi and sorry if the question is asked again.

I went to pays the visa fees and I had this message:

Important Notice:
Technical specialists are continuing to work on the Department of State's consular systems. While most applicants are now able to access this site, those who are still having difficulty should wait at least 24 hours before trying again and visit
http://nvc.state.gov/solutionsfor instructions. We expect there could be heavy traffic on CEAC over the next several days as applicants attempt to submit their forms and pay their fees online. Thank you for your patience as the Department continues to resolve recent technical problems with our consular systems.

Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center

The National Visa Center has forwarded your file to the US Embassy/Consulate where you are applying for an immigrant visa. Any other required fees must now be paid directly at the Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

did any body had the same message, and is the 256$ in us or canadian?

Im at the packet 3 stage.

Eek. I'm concerned about that as I just sent my packet 3 in. I can't help with that, but I can help with the US/CDN question. It's in US. Which sadly right now, is about $340 CDN. Yay dollar!

Congratulations on FINALLY getting to this stage. I hope you get a fast interview date.

Tbqh, we sent our packet 3 yesterday BUT...

It was marked as READY on July 7th, but this morning, the most recent status update was today (Still marked as ready, just a new date on the recent status update), which means they probably logged ours today. Received on the 7th, logged today, luckily we should be fine as they won't even get to our packet email for another few days-weeks.

With that said, mine was received a day before yours, you should be fine.

Also, I'm a little confused. When my fiance filled out the DS-160 and sent back packet 3, he wasn't asked to pay anything and recieved no errors and I've never seen anyone put down a payment for packet 3 MTL. I was fairly confident that you pay the visa fee's on the Packet 4 stage when you're going to schedule your interviews and such and setting up everything..

Are you sure you filled out the DS-160 and not the DS-260?

Thank you Ash.

same thing here:

Status Updated Date: 16-Jul-2015

no I was not asked to pay the fees, I thought I have to pay the visa fees at that stage so I went to the wibside and they ask for case number and invoice number then when I clic next I got the error message.

I think you are right I have to wait until I get the packet 4.

I'm sure you've found it by now but when you filled out your DS160 there were also links on how to pay online using a credit card.
