Visiting with BCC during CR-1

Now, my fiance and I are getting married in August, and then she will go back to school to finish her last semester. She is a Mexican citizen residing in Matamoros. We think that a CR-1 would be the best way to go.

However, since the process will most likely still be going on when she does graduate, we were hoping she could visit me for a few months while that is processing using her border crossing card in conjunction with I-94.

Will this be possible?
