K1 London - Readiness for Interview/Medical

Hi All,

Currently have my medical scheduled for 9th March. I am about to complete the DS-160 but other than that I have everything else for the interview. My question is - Am I able to submit the readiness for interview form now? I notice there is a box saying medical scheduled, would I just put the future date here?

OR do I have to wait until I have completed my medical in a week before I submit this?

I just want to get an interview date sorted ASAP and was thinking If I submit this 1 week early that might help a little.

Thanks in advance everyone!!

Jay

You can put the future date in it :)

Another question on this - I have not received 'Packet 3' yet but my status has been at ready on ceac since Friday. Can I submit the readiness for interview form anyway or would it be safer to wait for the Packet 3 letter to arrive in the post?

Thanks

Jay

Some people don't receive their packet 3, they get around everything based on the case number they've got by contacting the NVC. I say go for it if you have everything ready and a case number! I submitted my readiness form before my medical too and all has gone well for me!

So I have not yet got packet 3 in the post but have just submitted the readiness for interview form! Thanks for the help :)

I guess I just need to do the medical on the 9th March and then sit and wait for the appointment letter?? Should I be expecting this via email or post? and how long does it usually take to get it?

Thanks

Jay

Yup!

It comes in the post. I had my medical on the 28th January and received my letter on the 10th February.

We also sent in our DS-160, Readiness Form, and paid the MRV fee before our medical and before receiving Packet 3 (which we did receive). Kas' medical was a week ago today (Thursday), and everything went well. We've been tracking out status updates on CEAC and everything is going smoothly.

I sent an inquiry to the Embassy this morning regarding our interview date-so hopefully they'll respond tomorrow or next week sometime. :)

We are both just getting impatient/antsy/anxious-which is funny, but maybe it's just because we're so close to reuniting.

You don't need to send an enquiry yet for your interview.

After the medical is done, it takes 3+ days before it gets sent to the embassy as that is how long it takes to get the results back etc. it'll take another 2-3 days to get to the embassy and be checked.

You said it's been a week? Discounting the weekend they probably only just got your results.

Calm down a bit :) you'll get your interview letter in a week or two.

It's usually marked a month from the medical. So expect to have it in April!

Ps: signature says you have a visit to the uk in May? You could probably both fly back together, most likely have the visa by then! (Which I suggest purely because my flight to the states sucked! Especially alone.)
