Yes...it actually is the preferred method. The 2nd link I posted pretty much breaks it all down for what you need to do.

 

Do you know what embassy is controlling your case? That helps.

 

Our case is ready too, but we haven't received our checklist/paperwork. Still, everyone needs to set the appointment online.

Thanks jgunion.... Now i decide to pay my visa fees and get appointment online

Make sure you are setting the appointment with the correct embassy. I linked you with Mumbai...don't know where your jurisdiction lies.
