Beneficiary change of address at NVC

About a month ago my wife and I submitted the DS-260, I-864 and immigrant visa fees to the NVC, and have been waiting for the response to schedule an interview.

My wife (the beneficiary) will be moving to a new address near her current apartment Korea next week and I wanted to confirm whether it is necessary, and how to change her address at the NVC?

This thread here suggests I should email the NVC with the new information http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/417143-changing-address-at-nvc-stage/

Has anybody gone through this and have any info besides or differing from what is described?

Thanks for your help

I suggest calling them instead and also notifying your embassy if NVC has already sent the case to them.

They are super slow with emails and I've heard people wait MONTHS for a response from them. Calling and speaking to a representative at NVC , AND the embassy in Korea is your safest and best bet. They can update both systems and ensure you receive the packet/interview date.

By the way- same happened with me, my fiancé moved recently and I was told that when NVC receives my case I can update them with an email address instead where they can email me my info and also the embassy told me the same.

My fiancée is in Kabul however so the postage system here is very bad, so they suggested I can provide both NVC and the embassy with an email address as well to ensure I get the notification of the packet 3 and also the interview date. Hopefully this helps!

OK thanks for the info. They already emailed us once in regards to a mistake I made with sending an out of date I-864, so they already know our email address. Hopefully they will send both the email and normal mail packet.

I'll look into contacting them by phone I hear it can be challenging

Calling around 7 am eastern time, 6pm, and around 10pm is the easiest time to catch them with the lowest hold time. It's not that hard to contact them it's pretty easy I have never been on hold for more than 2-3 minutes. Good luck !
