  1. Hi to everybody

Me and my two daughters arrived to the US on 8th. September 2011 so I understand that we have time to file for ROC from 8th. June to 8th. September 2013.

One of my daughters is now 20 years old but she arrived at the same time I did and still living with me, so I understand that I can file with her. The question is that if they say that children above 14 they have to sign as well I do not find any place in the form where she has to sign. Can someone tell me where she can sign ?

Another question. My husband got a job in Florida, so we are moving from Michigan to Florida. We are going to get there on June 18th. to 20 so my question is that is better to wait until I get there and I change my address to file for I-751 ? as this make us change from California Service Center (for Michigan) to Vermont Service Center (for Florida). We will be in a condo until the end of July and then either we will buy a house (if we have sold the one in Michigan) or we will rent for several months. Is it better wait until the end of July to file for I-751 when I will have the final address or I can do it before and change again of address when I have the new one.

    Thanks for your answer

  2. You can add me as of August interview. We received an interview expedite and just yesterday the Embassy gave us the appointment. The thing is that still NVC has not sent documents to the Embassy !!!! and time is running short !!!!!!!

One question, do we need to give the Port of Entry at the Interview ? How long the transfer has to be if the stop in the first city of the US is not the final destination ? Is it possible to come from Spain to Canada and then make the POE at the Detroit Bridge or Tunnel ? We found a very cheap flight from there

Sorry I forgot to tell that our interview was scheduled for August 31st. !!!!!!

  5. I would like to raise the following question : when in a timeline one says NVC received the case in a VISA CR-1 it means that at this point NVC has already contacted the Embassy to set an appointment or the documents have first to reach the Embassy and after this is when the interview is set ? Thanks for your answer

  6. We got our SIF on 19th. July but our lawyers keeps saying not to call an operator as this delays the case. Is this true ? I would like to know if our case is complete and already sent to the Embassy. We have been trying the automated system but we cannot dial the three letters at the beginning of our NVC number. How can we dial letters ? I am calling through skype . Usually if the lawyer is our choice of agent will he be receiving an e-mail saying that the case is completed from NVC or are we receiving just an e-mail indicating already the Embassy interview date ? Thanksstar_smile.gif

  7. Lidia & JB , what kind of questions asked to your daughters. I am bringing my two daughters to the US (6 years and 18 years) and would like to know. Also what means kind of expedite interview ? One reason of it for asking an interview in August could be starting school in early September ? My little one does not speak English and would like at least she starts school on time

  8. This means that your case does not need further processing in the NVC and it is under final review or case complete.

I think that for CR-1 /IR-1 is NVC that contacts the Embassy and sets the interview and then they contact you with the date

The date they are communicating the interview I think that depends on the Embassy but I guess that from case is complete until you receive the interview date is about 1-3 weeks

    Good luck for you biggrin.gifgood.gif

  9. Its hard for sure! As I know you will, hang in there! I sent my I-130 on July 31st. Got NOA1 on Feb 3rd, NOA2 on May 31st. NVC case # & IIn on June 13. Just now I got SIF July 18th. Its been long. I'm sorry to hear you have a lawyer....this was really doable all alone!! Now that I know my case is complete, it is July, we are probably looking at a Septmeber interview date. As much as I would like August, its more realistic for September. It would be greatly appreciated if you would go in and create a time line! It helps see how long things are really taking and you can also compare yours to others! But Good luck to you!

I sent all the documents at the NVC on July 6th, and my Sign-in failed for me and my two daughters, hope that this means case complete very soon !!!!!!!! blush.gif I would like an August interview (even at the end) as my daughters have to start school , but I do not know if possible .....
