That is good news. Now you have to keep in touch with your embassy. They mailed info to my husband but not to me. I had to email them to get an appointment date. They were not going to notify me just my husband. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to get mail to him from the embassy and his interview was in 11 days so that wouldn't have worked. Just keep on them. Good luck and keep me posted. O

Our interview date is May 15. Got the email on Friday. It is a week away.

My husband received a package in the mail from the embassy. No interview date yet. The package was just a list of papers/forms needed for an interview. We already have everything except the medical. I emailed them about an interview date but haven't received a reply. You can only email the embassy in Jamaica you can't call them.

It was reaffirmed on March 12 NVC got it on April 5 and sent it to Kingston, Jamaica on that day. My friend's petition was reaffirmed on March 20 and the NVC doesn't have hers yet. I am waiting for Kingston to notify us of the next step.

Hi, I see that we were married close. And we are still waiting. We will get an IR1 visa instead of a CR1 visa now. That is a good. My friend had her petition reaffirmed on March 29 and the NVC still doesn't have hers yet. I am just waiting for an interview date.

They like to see anything with you and your husbands name on together, like insurance, bank accounts etc. This is hard to do when your spouse is not in this country. Good Luck

It took another month after reaffirmation for the USCIS to send it to the NVC. Now it is back at the embassy. I am waiting to hear from them. I sent a letter replying to every issue in the NOIR letter. I sent more pictures and receipts. You will have to address all of the issues they addressed in your NOIR letter. Send more pictures and receipts from the time of the interview until now.

Hello SShine, I petitioned for my husband on August 4, 2010. He had his interview on June 7, 2011. The petition was returned to the USCIS. We had pictures,receipts etc. He had a large file of proof. They still sent it back. It took 2 months for it to reach the USCIS. I received the NOIR the end of December. I had less than 3 weeks to respond. It then took 2 months for them to reaffirm.

I rec3ived the letter by mail on mARCH 17. So it was the same week as the email.

Congratulations. I am glad they reaffirmed. I haven't heard anything since Mar 12 when they reaffirmed our case.

Hi Olami, sorry it took so long to answer. I could not log on to visa journey or change my password. Finally I was able to today. I received a NOIR and have until Jan 16 to reply . They ? our age difference and my children are older than him and also say our pictures look "staged". Why haven't you heard anytihing yet. You should have by now.

Hello cgayle. It sounds like you and I are in a similar situation. I am 55 and my husband will be 28 this month. Our interview was June 7 and our petition was sent back to the USCIS. I think it was because of our age difference. I would love to chat with you and see if we can figure something out about how to deal with this. Are you on Facebook or do you have email??
