  1. Hello - again

I can't locate any recent topics on this subject for JA filers. Can any of you tell me how much it costs for express? And can you do this in St. Mary?

    P.S.

    This process is so fun!!

My husband just got his police report. He paid for it in Port Maria at the tax office and them in 1 week picked it up at the police station in Tower Isle. I think it was 2000-3000 Ja. Check out Jamaicanpolice.com that is were I found the information.

  2. Sorry to say this but unfortunately age DOES make a difference and it is definitely a cause for DENIAL. Trust me on this one. So people are not trying to be mean. They are being truthful although they could speak with a little more empathy. The US embassy have denied visas based on a wide age gap with the female spouse/fiance being the older from way before and sadly it seems they continue to do so. And boy do that 30+ year old white man CO sounds familar.

People who have been denied visas at the USEM in Ja really need to do some comparisons and see that they will surprisingly (well, maybe not) come up with a lot of similarities in their cases. Two already have been mentioned

    Hi SlimT&R

Did you have an age difference? Did you get denied? I am just curious. Also do you know of anyone with an age difference to be approved after the case was sent back to the USCIS? Thanks

  3. Are you serious, that is the same exact email I got from them. So I am just curious, if they jusr send the same email to everyone who is denied.

    Dear Madam

We are unable to process your application for an Fiancé visa. Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) prohibits a consular officer from issuing a visa to an alien if the consular officer has reason to believe that the alien is ineligible.

Based on a review of your case at the Embassy, new evidence provided, not previously available to USCIS, requires USCIS review. Therefore, we have returned your petition to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for review and possible revocation.

A letter was sent to the applicant at the address you provided containing this information.

    Kingston iV

    We received the same letter.

  4. Can anyone tell me if their spouse didn't get their Visa the day that they had the interview. I have spoken with 2 people here in the states and they said that the same thing happened to them. Both of them stated that the paperwork was sent back to the states and then USCIS contacted them with additional paperwork that needed to be done. After the paperwork was completed then both of their spouses were approved for a Visa.

My husband had his CR1 interview on June 7,2011,in Kingston,Jamaica.. He had a large file of evidence. The IO asked him for his file of evidence which he kept handed my husband passport back and stated that they couldn't issue a visa at this time and they were sending the petition back to the USCIS for further review. He knew the answers to all of the questions asked of him. We also have a large age difference. I am older. We have know each other for 7 1/2 years. We were married in Nov 2009. The IO also asked about my children and their ages. Which my husband knew the correct answer. I have called and emailed Kingston embassy. They said they can't tell me anything. I contacted my congressman who got a response from Kingston that stated that they are sending the petition back to the USCIS for 221g. They are questioning the validity of our relationship. I don't know what more evidence they could want. We had plane tickets, money gram, western union, phone records, pictures, letters, affadavits of our relationship. The only reason they could have questioned the relationship is because of our age difference. On Friday last week he received an envelope from the embassy which contained all of the information that was in the file they kept at the embassy. They only kept his vaccination record, his police and medical record. I guess the only thing we can do is wait to hear from the USCIS. I will keep adding more evidence to the stack we already have.

  5. Mrs.Edwards/Kay and others who have had their case returned to the US sorry to hear that -- but don't give up...my cousin's cause was complicated and his case was sent back with no reason...stay in constant communictions, but please find out everything the CO asked them during the interview...that was key in getting their case approved...it took a very long time but they got approved so please don't give up. His wife had to attend a second interview; the we interviewed separately; then together --- wishes ya'll the best.

    One Love,

    Trelawny

    One Love,

Hello, Thank you for the encouragement. How long did it take for your cousin's case to go back to the USCIS and be reviewed and then approved?

Did they ever find out why it was sent back?

  6. I provided more than enough information to my fiancé. I sent him 4 months of bank statements from me and my co-sponsor, 3 years or taxes from both me and my co-sponsor, I sent 35 photos with not only he and I but friends and family, I sent my birth certificate and my passport as well as my co-sponsors, I sent them a letter from my employer stating that I was just employed on the 1st of June 2011, I sent a letter from me co-sponsors employer, I have never been married so I didn't need clearances. Like I stated before the only thing I did not send was the phone logs.

The same happened to my husband who had his interview on June 7, 2011. He had a large file of information, pictures, western union, money gram, phone records, letters, afadavits of our relationship,my w2's for the past 3 years, marraige certificate, my pay stubs, airline tickets and itineraries. We have been together 7 years and married for 1 1/2 years. He answered all of the questions correctly and they still handed his passport back took his file of paperwork and said that they were sending it back to the USCIS for further review. They never gave him anymore information. No blue slip. I have since emailed and called the embassy in Kingston. Had my congressman contact them and also the DOS and USCIS. According to the congressman they are questioning the validity of our relationship. They all say we will have to wait until the case is back in the USCIS. The only redflag we have is an age difference. They shouldn't deny because of the age as I have know others to get their visa with an age difference. I don't know what other proof of our relationship they could want. I sent everything.

  7. i had an RFE apRIL 26, i sent the RFE vIA fedEx on April 28 NVC received it May 2. how long will it take till i get a case close? my RFE was in my DS230 they want me to put the date when i turned 16 ggeeeeezzzzzz its so minor, anyway, sent them a new DS230. . . how long does it normally take for NVC to process RFE's?

I got the same RFE. It took them 10 days after receiving the new DS230 for SIF and CC.

  8. Concerning Mrs. Edward's RFE, what is the correct answer for question 30 on Form DS-230?

Should one just write the month and year for when the beneficiary turned 16 and then put present on the next line if they have lived in the same city from birth?

    Fahed

I called the NVC before I redid the paperwork and they told me the month and year he turned 16 to PRESENT. They just received my new form today so I hope they accept it. When I talked to them on the phone I told him that he lived in the same place since he was born and they said the question states from age 16.

  9. damn, looks like im gettin an RFE after all. . . :crying: i sent the package April 11 and NVC got April 13. when can i expect the RFE? after a month? should i call and ask them?

I got an RFE because my husband has lived at the same address since birth. In the from box I put his birthdate and the to box I put PRESENT. They sent me an RFE because they want from age 16 to present. I got my RFE on April 1st and of course I had to get my husband to sign the new paper and I just got it back in the mail on Friday and immediately sent it to the NVC. I would start working on the new form and get your spouse to sign it so you will be ahead of the game.

  10. It's now 12am pacific time, and I decided to call NVC. I wish I waited until it's sunrise, as now I couldn't sleep...

AVR said- missing info on financial evidence..

Is this the infamous RFE message? Or a true RFE? We sent the AOS and IV packets together on 3/18..and the AVR said they mailed the checklist for the missing docs on 3/30.

I just got the same message. I think it is for the IV package.

  11. I have sent DS-3032 for the second time..because i sent it on friday be4 they generated my ds3032 and aos bill..i sent it again yesterday evening..i read from Eric that the IV bill will not ginerated unless they accepted the form 3032

Has the NVC received your DS-3032 yet? I also re-sent mine yesterday by E-mail. I got an email yesterday after sending it stating that I needed to send my DS-3032. I wonder if I need to send it again? I have already paid the AOS bill and it is marked as paid. I can't send in the AOS package or pay the IV bill because the system won't let me yet.

  12. He got through at Duke St. They collected passport, pics, fee and issued a receipt. Now he is @ Oxford Rd in line # 25.

@yankeesgirl76- I know its early we just want to have it ready to go. If we have to get another one 6 months down the rd then so be it (hopefully not). Thanks for ur input though.

My husband is in Kingston getting his police certificate today also. This is his fourth visit. He is suppose to pick it up today. Then he will mail it to me. The mail usually takes about 10-14 days to get to me. We just got our NVC case# yesterday. I am glad we din't get it sooner as it has been 7 months since we started this process. I hope and pray that your journey is much quicker than ours. Good luck.

  13. I just received a text message to check my case status.

I called NVC operator on Feb. 24, 2011, They said they had the i130 but it was not in the system yet.

    Still waiting for our #.

  14. My dearest VJ family, who've been through, and are still on, one of the most disturbing roller coaster rides of our lives, I haven't received ANY text message or ANY email regarding the status of my case.

At 8:54PM, after having finished my cases at work from 6 this morning, I followed my usual routine- get on VJ, read up on how my friends are doing, and for the hell of it log on to the USCIS website.

My I130 and I129F cases statuses were both updated as of today.

I immediately clicked on the I130 and my eyes fell on a blue dot overlying "Post Decision Activity". Not having mailed in any wedding photos, tickets, receipts, Skype screen shots, affidavits, joint account information, etc., I feared I was in for the mother of all RFEs.

    The notice reads as follows:

    Post Decision Activity

On February 22, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

The notice for my I129F reads as follows:

    Post Decision Activity

On February 22, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    I am in sheer disbelief.

    Yeah!!!! Finally. Congratulations!!!
