  1. Hello,

I'm a Filipina who live in Seoul and about to visit the United States soon under my B2 visa.

I visited the US last year under my B1/B2 visa and it is multiple entry valid for 10 years.

But few months ago, we applied for an immigrant visa at the US embassy in Seoul and the I-130 has been approved.

But my husband got another job offer in Seoul and that is the reason why we have to hold off the immigrant visa process for awhile.

Would that case be a problem entering the US again under my B1/B2 visa?

Any information will be highly appreciated

    Thank you

  2. Oops, I just saw that you messaged me! Sorry! First, to answer your questions,

They should get back to your email in a day or two. Go ahead and fill out your DS-230 with your correct name.

Your father-in-law should fill out the I-864 A I believe (i'll check that for you). Does your mother in law work?

You cant make your appointment yet, after you send in packet 3 and they approve it they will send you an email with packet 4 and the go-ahead to make your appointment. :-)

Thank you very much, Mrs. Nelson. Neither of my in-laws are working. They are retired and are drawing on their pension and they file their taxes under one household.

I have another question though. Where did you get your Korean Police record translated?

    Thank you again.

  3. Hello Everyone,

We just got our packet 3 a few days ago. But my name was incorrect on the letter that they sent us. I am wondering if I can still send in the DS-230 if the name on the packet 3 was incorrect? We tried calling them but now answer, we emailed them but no words from them yet.

Also, My father-in-law will be my husband's co-sponsor. Which forms should they use (I-864

or I-864a)? Should my mother-in-law also fill one out?

Lastly, when can we make an appointment for my interview? Can I make it now?

    Thank y'all for you help!

  4. Me and my wife just sumbitted our DCF paperwork October 21st in Seoul Korea. Im very curious how your process goes as it looks like our filing dates are very close to each other. I am assuming the e-mail will probably come from seoul CIS?

please update here when you do get the e-mail!

I'll give you an update whenever I hear back from them.

  5. Thank you very much! We are still waiting on the I-130 approval. It's been over 2 weeks and still no email from them. Might be too early or something.. some people here got their I-130 approved in just few days. I am a little worried since my husband's job contract here will end in March. Hopefully the visa will be ready by then. Please keep us updated on the rest of the process. Thank you again.

  6. If he is teaching here, how long does he have left on his teaching contract? My husband and I are going through the same process here, but our teaching visa doesn't expire until March 5th 2012.

He just signed another contract last month for another year. so it'll be expired next year. Have you filed the I-130 yet? if so, did u make an appointment and go directly to the embassy or did u send it through mail?

Any information will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Thank you all for the informations. Your effort is highly appreciated!

  7. Hello Everyone,

I am a Filipina, married to a US citizen and currently living in Korea. He is teaching here in Korea and we have been here together for over a year. We are planning to move to the US sometime soon and we would like to know if we are qualified to do the DCF. Since we got married in the Philippines (October 2009), should I go back to my country during the visa process or can we just stay in Korea?

Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much!

  8. Hi Everyone,

I am a Filipina, married to an American citizen. We got married in the Philippines in 2009. We are currently living in Korea and are going to visit the US soon. I already got my B-2 visa (valid for 10 years). We are about to visit the US, but have been told that I might be denied entry in the US since B-2 visas are not usually issued to spouses of American citizens. We were told to file the I-130. We would do so if we had plans to eventually move to the US, but right now, we do not. What are my chances of getting through Homeland Security? Also, can we file for a K-3 visa while we are living in Korea? My husband is not military.
