  1. I haven't been able to sleep for days. Does anyone know when the result usually is available? I've kept checking my status on the USCIS website but it's still in initial review (the officer said he would give the decision in the next day after interview). Can I call them to check? If so, what is the number?

Oh, I forgot to mention about my interview. The officer who I had interview looked very nice. He asked me and wrote down to the paper about my background records, our addresses and the time frame we lived. Then he asked me why we got divorce, I said she had affairs and he said it made sense that I couldn't live with a person who had an affair. Then he asked about our tax returns and why we didn't file tax return in the year when got marriage and I said she was dependent with her mom and I was a student at that time so we didn't file tax together back to that year. And then he told me it seems that I have all the documents and he would review and mail me his decision tomorrow. After that I also submited more documents. The interview took me about 30 minutes.

During the interview I didn't have many chances to explain my situation. Almost the questions were when, where... so I kind of worry because I couldn't have chances to tell him detail about our story :(

Is it a bad sight that he didn't ask about our story? I've been just like being hanging around since the day she had an affair, the divorce, and now my future here :( with nowhere to go....so depressed now....

Thanks for all of your sympathies here. This is the only place I can share my feeling.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!

  2. Congrats I751. I also filed for a waiver and still waiting for an interview schedule. Can you give me some advices in the interview? What do they usually ask us?...

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for you guys input! I'm very appreciated it.

@ Resilient: Thank for your advice, but I don't have the lease agreement, because that has been a long time and I can't find it. However, my ex-landlord wrote for me a letter to show that we had lived there as a marriage couple, hope this will help.

Do you guys have or know any experiences in an interview, please let me know. Thanks!

  4. Here's my situation:

I used to be an F-1 Visa Student. I met my ex-wife in 2005 and we got marriage in August, 2007. After that she got accepted from one of the UC school in North California, then she went there for studying. But we still went back and forth. Then in 2008 she got her citizenship and we applied for my green card.

In July 2009, we had an interview and I got my 2 years green card. I had treated her and her family very well since the day I knew her. I paid everything from phone bills, insurance, airline tickets...and did everything to protect our love but around 2009, she had an affair with another guy. I felt very sad and disappointed about her. However, things didn't work out with them and they broke up. Then she came back to me and wanted to rebuild our relationship, and I accepted because I still loved her so much. But one more time, she broke my heart, she had another relationship with a newer guy and now she wanted to get marriage with him. So, she filed a divorce without thinking how I felt in 2010. I had to apply the waiver for removing my condition with the help of my attorney, hoping to get a permanent greed card so I can get a better life. Here's what I sent to them:

    • Our tax-return 2007,2008,2009.
    • Our joint bank account(we don't have any property because we're still students)
    • Credit cards
    • Out T-mobile phone bill.
    • My insurance with me and her name on it
    • Lots of our picture since the day we met( back to 2005)
    • Receipts that showed we went to Vegas every year.
    • Lots of hotel and airline ticket receipts that showed I went to visit her while she was in University.
    • Receipts that I bought gifts which were sent to her address when she's at school
    • Valentine's cards that we sent to each other.
    • 2 letter(one from my previous landlord, he's also my best friend, saying that we are a real marriage couple), and another one from my friend.

The immigration got my application in April and I got all the fingerprints checked, extended status... but in August, they asked me for more evidences(such as bank count which I already sent to them) so I resent those bank statements, but my attorney asked me for more new evidences but that's all I had, so I decided to send our intimate video clips when we lived together.

And I've crossed my fingers and checked my status on Immigration web page everyday. Then just couple days ago got a letter from Immigration Office said that they relocated my case to Santa Ana location and Santa Ana office will notice me when the interview is available.

I'm so frustrated because of my status and my future. Do I have any chance to get the permanent green card? And it's been a while (7 months) for them to process my case, is it a good or bad sign? Also, what are the questions they usually ask in the interview? Please, someone helps me, I don't know what to do now :(

I apologize for a long post. Have a great day!
