  1. We just received word and found on the USCIS website that we are approved. We were told it would take another 180 days. I applied in January 2013. I was told to send it to Texas even though our region is Vermont. As some time it went to Vermont to only get sent back May 24th to Texas. I applied for an emergency expedition. I was sent an I 795 C saying there are many applications and we should hear in 180 days. I didn't have 180 days. I was distraught. I called our State Congressman and today it was approved. Thank God and Thank everyone for the prayers and support, Especially the staff at my local Congressman's office. Now we are waiting for a date for his interview in London. Amen'

It is not like me and my fiancé just met. We met on the internet 5 years ago. We knew right away we had something special. He came to visit a few times a year or I went to Scotland. 2 years ago we decided to marry. We purchased a home for us to live the rest of our lives. He is retired and he won't need any assistance from the USA. Now we can have a wonderful fairy tale wedding to match the fairy tale romance. Best of luck to all who applied for your visa.

  2. We submitted our application in December 2012 to the Vermont Service Center. Due to the fact that the fee was from a UK bank they sent it back and told us to send it to Texas. We did and that was received on Jan 14, 2013. We have been waiting for a decision to find out that Texas had sent it back to Vermont and now we received a I-797 stating it went back to Texas. I spoke with someone at the National Service Center who submitted a form to expedite the decision. Last night I received an email not really saying anything other than there are many applications and we could hear in 180 days. If we have not received a notice in 45 days to call them. I spoke with someone again this morning at the NSC and she said I probablly wasn't approved to have our case expedited. I can try to submit another one on Tuesday.

In the meantime we have the venue booked for a wedding on July 27th. Family and friends are coming across to the US for what is supposed to be a happy occasion. We find out that he may not be able to come across as the application has a red flag on it due to the processing of the application. Why is this taking so long. It is not fair that my application was held up in a lock box or on someone's desk for so long. We did what we were supposed to do. Other's are getting their's approved when they filed in March.

How can I be a happy bride when I am not really getting married.

We have dated for 5 years. We met on line. He has been traveling back and forth for a few year and staying for the required length of time (less than 90 days), I traveled to visit him as well. We sent pictures of our trips, we now have a house here, he is retired and does not need US money to live. He is keeping his flat in Scotland. What is wrong with this picture? I am at a loss and I need help!!!

  3. Congratulations on your approval. I applied in December and sent the documents to Vermont as this is the service center for my region. Unfortunetly we sent a check from the UK. THey returned it saying it must be a US check and to send it to Texas. They received it on Jan 14, 2013. The notified me that they sent it back to Vermont which I thought would do what they had to do and approve the I 129 F. I just received notice that it went back to Texas. I called last Friday and submitted to expedite my application and was told in 5 days we should hear a decision. Last night I received an email stating there are many cases and we should hear in 180 days. It has been 6 months and tossed back and forth and nothing happened.

I called today and again was given the run around. I am to call again on Tuesday to see if we can apply to have it expedited again. The wedding is scheduled for July 27th (37 days), family and friends are booked on flights, the hotel is booked and a lot of money is spent on the wedding.

We are now told that he may come over to visit but if we get married that is fraud and negates the application and we have to start all over again and it will have to wait. In the meantime we can't get married. He can come over to visit and show proof he has a residence in Scotland and a return ticket, they hopefully will let him in.

I am so frustrated and upset. What can I do?
