  1. Thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge...its all mush appreciated.

now my following questions are, the new intent to marry letter, can it be a scanned copy?

we are having a real hard time receiving mails, (ex. xmas gift sent last first week of december never been received till date, valentine flowers ordered online wasnt delivered either and we are only in manila area lol)

also his W2, 1040, LES are all sent thru scanned copy, but we have the originals of the ones sent in to USCIS as he brought it during visit. so are these enough together with emails, chatlogs, receipt of money sent, pictures?

    what else are we missing?

Once more thank you in advance and happy hearts day to all ;)

  2. Hello VJ'ers,............. HAPPY VALENTINES TO ALL ;)

I have a few questions to ask the experts or those who have been thru the process already.

How do you get the UID #?

we paid in BPI and tried to sched appointment online but its asking for UID # and we tried to enter the number of the receipt but it says its invalid?

    where can i get this?

Also, with the affidavit of support, is it required to have the original or it can be a scanned copy?

petitioner is above poverty line and we have all the original papers submitted at the USCIS.

Does he and she have to write another or updated intent to marry letter?

please anyone who have knowledge are much welcome to share what they know and will be much appreciated..thank you & have a happy hearts day to all

  5. Here ir is in a nutshell

Alla came in Sept 2008 just as Sergey was starting his 2nd year of college in Russia. She came and we got married and filed for AOS right away. She got her green card in January 2009. Sergey came on a K-2 to follow in June 2009 and we filed for his AOS the day after he arrived. He got his green card 3 days before he went back to school, but he had an AP in case his green card didn't get here in time. He came back this summer and is now back in Russia at school. He has a Vermont drivers license and had a job and will file taxes this year. He will come back again this summer and return to start his masters program in the fall. There are a few details to maintian his residency bu ####### is not difficult at all, really.

thank you so much for the info, this is really helpful. leads me for some follow up questions, how long it took when you filed for k2 to follow, and when he got there how long is the AOS process before he got his green card?

  6. it has nothing to do with your sisters visa.

She could do a K-2 to follow, have him come here for the summer, adjust status and go back for his education. We did that and are doing that with our son. He goes to college in Moscow.

OR her husband can file a CR-2 for him until he is age 21 and IF he marries your sister before the boy turns age 18.

ok thanks Gary & alla, im sure this will make my sister feel better and stress less for her interview. God Bless

  7. hello everyone. i am very new here and just found this website today. for the past 3hours i have read alot of informations that is indeed very helpful. Bu i still have some questions to ask, hoping that someone haven gone thru the same situation and can possibly give us some clarification on this matter.

My sister just got her K1 approved and now waiting for her interview at USEM. she have a 16 year old son. she and her fiance listed him at their application form as defendant. originally they plan to bring him with her to US. but since my nephew is still in school and now graduating in high school, my sister doesnt wanna ruin his school year. besides the kid has good grades in school and plan to take a scholarship exam at PUP and wants to take up industrial engineering. my sister says, that if he flies with her now, most probably he will have to get a job as they both dont wanna be a burden to her fiance and besides college in US is way very far expensive and they plan to send him to join the navy when he turns 18 to get a free college. now, theyre considering of letting him stay behind, take the scholarship and study college and when he finish they will petition him to come to US. if its after 2 years he then turns 18, if 4years to finish his college he then turns 20 which still falls the age under 21.

now the question is, do you think their plan is good and practically reasonable like we think? do you think this will make the consul not to issue my sister her visa?

please share your thoughts and advice for possible scenario and if you know any helpful way to do this.

thank you all very much in advance ;)
