I've called NVC 3 different times now and they still won't give me a MNL#. Our NOA2 send date was February 16. Does anyone know a way to get it quicker? Or what to say to get them to give it to me. We have already paid out interview fee, plane tix to manila, apartment paid and I need to get this interview set. I had to pay and reserve apartment early so we were sure to get one at a decent price.
Ours was dated Feb 3rd and I called on the 15th and they gave it to me right away. I called the NVC again on the 22nd and they said that our package was still not sent out to the Manila embassy and from my understanding you can't get an interview date until the embassy recieves and logs the I29F package into their system.

What is the phone # for the NVC?

Hello All, ok I called the NVC and got our MNL#. The NVC said that it will take 3-5 days for them to send out the Info to the Manila Embassy. I have several questions:
- What information does the NVC send to the Embassy in Manila?
- How long does it take for the information to get from the NVC to the Manila Embassy?
- Can we call the Manila Embassy with NVC# to get a medical and interview appt.?
- Do we need the letter from the Embassy or the NVC to make our payment for the visa to BPI?
- Is there a time frame in which we need to get all the information required by the Embassy to them?
- Isn't there a website that I'm suppose to register on now that I have the MNL#?
We would really appreciate your alls help in this matter. If there is something that I've left out please let us know.
Thanks again to all the help from the VJ members

Never had a psychological exam, only a regular medical. Not sure if it is Philippine specific? I haven't seen anyone else post about psychological exams either tho.

I need a co-sponsor and my sister will do this for us. My Fiance and I will be living with her for a period of time, until we find jobs, so we are using her address as our home address. Let me also clarify that I have liquid assests above the poverty level for 3 years. So we are using the Co-Sponsor hopefully only as a back up to my fianacial support. So let me ask you all if I have the right information. She will fill out the I-864A and I will fill out an I-864. We will both submit I-134 also, is this correct? My Sister and her Husband file Joint ITR's and also have joint bank accts. Does my brother-in-law have to fill out any forms? If my sister makes well over the poverty limit for the 4 of us living in the house does she have to put his salary on the form? This gets confusing to me because of the joint ITR. Also does she have to show bank acct. if she earns well over the poverty level?
Thanks

I'm in a similiar circumstance, I need a co-sponsor and my sister will do this. My Fiance and I will be living with her for a period of time. So let me make sure I understand this and to ask another question. She will fill out the I-864A and I will fill out an I-864. We will both submit I-134 also. Now here is my question, my sister and her husband file joint tax returns and have joint bank accts. Does my brother-in-law have to fill out anything?
Thanks

I-134 is a consulate/embassy topic, moving this.
Assets need to be easily liquidated.
Also keep in mind penalties for withdrawing early from an IRA or 401K, the interviewing officer may take that into account.
Needs to be 3 times the 125% poverty line.
Yes I already deducted 40% for taxes and penalties
Thanks

Hello All, we have a question regarding our show of support for the I-134. I currently don't work but have enough in savings and stocks to show 3 years worth of support and we will have a co-sponsor. Is it better to have all the money secured in a savings account or can I leave my money in the stock market? I was thinking that they might view the money in the stock market as to vulnerable to be lost. So having it savings acct. might be better. Also the biggest chunk of this money is in an IRA account that is where the stock money is located.
Thanks

So why does the manila embassy not accept co-sponsors if that is an approved govt. process for showing support? We too are in the same problem with no job but have a co-sponsor. If I have 3 times the amount above poverty line in the my bank and IRA's will this be accepted. Should we have the co-sponor as back up. I hope to have a job but we have our NAO2 now and I don't know if I will have a job in time before the interview.
Thanks

Hi, is there anyone knows whats the best income for co-sponsoring? or hows much it should we have in the bank so that theirs no need for sponsor.
I do hope somebody will answer this topic of mine PLEASE.

Miracles do happen and the CSC is really doing their thing for September people this month. We just got our NAO2 approval. Submitted our application and were notified of NAO1 on Sept. 14 2010. So keep the faith everyone they are working on the applications.

I'm also in similiar situation as Chris and coincidently my name is Chris also. I have 0 income for 2010, my fiance and I have been living together in the philippines off of my savings acct.. I have more than sufficient income for years 2007-2009. I was told by another person that helps others with visa that they will be asking for a current tax return for 2010 when you go for your interview at the Manila consulate. Is this really not the case? Will they just ask for your proof of support document which I believe is the I-134. What is the Tax Return Transcript? I was also told on this website that I could file a 0 income tax return. So which is best to have the Tax Return Transcript or the 0 Income Tax Return for 2010? I have suffienct monies in savings and Individual Retirement Account to cover 3 years of support. But I also have a co-sponsor as a safety net. Why is it that the manila consulate rarely excepts co-sponsors? I expect my NAO2 any day now. I'm in the U.S. looking for work but haven't found any yet, so I'm thinking of just going back to the philippines to help my fiance through the last part of the visa.
I appreciate any and all input on this matter.
Thanks
Chris

Mailed 9/09/10
NAO1 9/14/10
I guess Touched on 9/24/10
What does a touch mean and how do I find out when they touch our visa application? I've seen on the forum and according to the estimate on Sept. 2010 filings that we should be hearing this month on our applications. Atleast I hope that is what is happening.
Regards
Chris

The transcript you'll want is a "Tax Return Transcript", not a wage and income. In your shoes, I would complete the affidavit stating my current annual income and pay stubs to document that income. If you provide any tax returns or transcripts, provide 07, 08 and 09 if the interview is before April 15 and you should be OK. Technically, no tax returns are required but I would show them anyway. If you can also show some liquid assets, that will help. A letter of explanation may also help.
Be advised that Manila almost never allows a cosponsor for a K1 visa anyway. When they do, it's usually for a recent or soon to be college graduate with parent as cosponsor.

Ok got another question concerning proof of support for my Fiance. I've been told and have seen on the forum that when you go for your interview they will ask your Fiance for the petitioners Income Tax Return for the previous year. My problem is that I had no income for 2010. My Fiance and I lived in the Philippines off of my savings acct. So how can I file a tax return for 2010 if I have no income? I have income tax returns for 2007-2009. What can I do in this situation?
Thanks All for your continued support on this long journey for our visa.

My fiancee annulled also in Philippines I do not have a problem filing it we appoved in 142 days and now she is waiting for her medical on the 7th of february and the interview on the 25th of feb.. we are hoping for the best result..just stay possitive.. and read more here in the forum you will learn a lot.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah Your right, I've learned a lot of things here in the forum and gives a lots of encouragement
God Bless.

You should be ok as long as annulment papers are ready to be presented
Thank you for the reply and the words of encouragement.
Just wondering how they will react if they read my Finalization of my annulment.
Especially if they see the reason Psychological Incapacitated and knowing my X is the one who filed the annulment because I cant help him during the time we want the annulment materialize ( I have monetary problem that time). Well, as you know most of the annulment here in the Philippines is can be arrange (pre-paid) of course the other should "look so bad" so that it can be believable.
So this one thing makes me disturb most of the time.
Anyone here have the same experience like mine?
Can share it to me. or Pm me.
Any replies I will greatly appreciated
THANK YOU.

Thanks for your input and congratulations on getting your NAO2 and interview so quickly. We filed in mid sept. to the california service center and still have not heard from them on the NAO2 status.

Hello All, we have another question about the Fiance Visa. My Fiance has been annulled for a couple of years now. Has anyone run into a problem with approvals with Fiance Visa's when your Fiance has been annulled? My Fiance also has 3 children whom will not be joining us right away. Two of them are in college and 1 is in his 3rd year of High School. There father wants them to finish school in the philippines. Will any of this pose a problem with visa acceptance? What kind of questions might be asked of my fiance when she goes to her interview about her annulment or leaving her children in the philippines to finish their schooling?
Thanks Again

Hi Chris,
I also have a co-sponsor during my interview in US embassy Manila and I got my visa. I think it all depends on the case, my husband who is my fiancé that time was a graduate student, just make sure you will be able to show that she won't be in any way be a burden in the US government.
Good luck!
Thank you for your response. Yes I believe I will be able to show through my savings and the co-sponsor for support that we would not pose a financial burden to the U.S. Congratulations on obtaining your visa and I wish you and your fiance the best.

Our case was shipped on 2/24 and as of today 3/17 we are still not in the system. I just got off the phone from with the call center in the U.S. and they told me that the case numbers are entered at the discression of the embassy. Does anybody know how I can get them to enter the case number? We paid the visa fee yesterday and the call center said it still wasn't validated yet. I chatted with the online help and talked to an operator and both said I had to wait on the letter of authorization from the embassy. This letter as I've read on line here may or maynot ever show up. I see from an earlier post that another person called the embassy at 02-301-2000 and got them to enter the case number for them. Any other suggestions or does anybody know how long it is taking now to enter the case numbers?
