hi ,
they never asked me for any documents .. at the end of the interview i was being told that your visa has been approved but after 2 days i received my passport along with a letter saying that your case is pending under section 221g and we will contact you once we are done , i think it is probably bcoz of background check .

usually nvc takes 3to 5 days to process the case and then another5-7 days from nvc to consulate and then another 7-10 days till you get the packet 3 from the embassy ... be ready with every thing ... now its your turn .

congratulations !! happy days are here now .. usually it takes 5 working days for the nvc to receive the petition.. but call them on the second or third day itself .. best of luck for the rest of your journey !

when ur application will get approved the uscis will contact your attorney , after approval they will fwd ur case to nvc , then after the approval you have to call the nvc and ask them whether they have received your case or not . if they did then they will give u a new case no from nvc , on the basis of that ca you can schedule a medical app , and follow up your case at your embassy .

you can prepare the other things while you are waiting for your noa2 .. like documentary proof of your ongoing relationship .. form i-134 affidavit of support , practice filling out visa forms , tax transcripts , letter from the employer , bank statements and etc . so that you dont waste a lot of time after your noa 2 .
thanks .

you can go to the uscis website here is the link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp and register as an applicant / customer with the help of your receipt no which you have got in your noa1 .. whoever will register will get e mail updates when they will take any action on your case . and after registering in the last updated section you can see when your case was last updated

and when your case processing is done they will notify you through mail if you have registered on the uscis website .. or you check your case status on uscis website ..

during the time while you are waiting for noa2the uscis does a fbi name check .. no they dont go to your home or address but the fbi has all the information when they get your name and address and date of birth .. they check for any criminal cases which you had in the past or are currently going on.. the best policy is to not to lie to the uscis .. because some or the other time they will find out
