  1. Bumping this thread up to let you guys know that we got an approval!!!! I am so stoked!

I was having an especially horrible day because we were supposed to skype this morning and skype was giving me log in problems the whole time so we just gave up. Just a while ago as i was taking a nap before i go on my night shift job, he called me to say goodnight and as he was about to hang up i got a text message from a weird number so i asked him to hold on. As i was getting to the message, i told him " Baby, we might have just been approved!" and sure enough it was an approval text message from uscis!!! He wouldn't believe it at first and asked me to check the email to be sure because he doesn't wanna celebrate prematurely... but it is a freaking shiny approval!

We're so happy! Vermont has started churning out approvals once again after being painfully slow at the end of last week.

  2. Hiyee!!!!!!! Yesterday I asked for a day off and thought that I can be proactive in this application.....so to make the long story short I got my police clearance (NBI) yesterday and it's valid for a year. For the Cenomar I think it's valid for 6 months but I haven't really gotten the chance to accomplish it yesterday (coding sucks). How about you did you already started working on something?

I totally agree with you CSC and VSC is kicking butts!!! More and more are getting approved for Jan fillers. I was also checking some sites for airline tickets but they're kindda pricey....do you know any cheap sites that we can check out? Better to be ready with the budget coz it'll probably be soon kicking.gif

Oh yes... my fiance went to get his Police clearance last week and is going to work on his long form birth certificate next week. He still needs to get a Police certificate from New Zealand though, coz he stayed there for a year. Does anybody know how to go about getting a police certificate from New Zealand? We would appreciate any help...

As for airline tickets, i usually get mine from a ticket agent i know. However when my parents flew here in January, i got their tickets from Expedia coz they got the lowest price on the airline that i wanted them to be on. You can also try Kayak.com. They compare ticket prices between different websites, which makes it easy for you to decide. Anyways, good luck with everything! :)

  3. nope nothing for me..but I've been checking Igor's timeline everyday like what danik713 it can be just around the corner. Seems that CSC is now working on Dec Fillers which means we'll get approved in 2 months? luv.gif I really miss being with my baby it's summer here in the Philippines and it's uberly hot....I miss being in a cold weather too

I was also thinking if we can already start getting the necessary documents like for me here in the Philippines maybe I can start working on my Police, NBI clearance and Cenomar.....whatcha guys think?

    Hi there fellow Filipina! :)

I think you can start working on those clearances you need as early as now. Do you know how long those documents are valid for once you get them? If CSC and VSC keeps churning out NOA2's like they're doing now, then i say work on getting those documents now coz our NOA2's will probably be here in no time!

  4. Bumping this thread up for the February Filers!

Where are the rest of you guys?!

VSC seems to be on a roll these days so we better start hanging around here more often. It is very encouraging to see a lot of people getting approvals!   I saw on the January thread that there were at least two January Filers who got their NOA2!!! That excites me to no end but at the same time makes me worried if we would be ready with everything if ever our NOA2 comes rolling in today (wishful thinking! )

Anyway here's to hoping that our journeys will not be as long as we all expected it to be! Goodluck to all of us!

  5. Hi KirstyDustin! Hi Ochili! My fiance is from south africa and although our NOA2 is nowhere near yet, i just wanna ask if you already got your police clearances and if you guys know how long the clearances are valid for. He's excited to get them now, but we just sent our K1 application last month and i told him they might not be valid once we get our NOA2.

Thanks a lot and i wish you get your NOA2's very soon, and breeze through the interview without any problems! :)

  6. Yah i got my email and txt message from them last night as well. so thats the NOA1? my case was routed to california service center. said they were doing a background check on me, that should be hella fast... im so excited :) btw congrats on getting your notification as well

congratulations to you too! and yes thats the NOA1, although i heard the hard copy has a different date to it. is that true? Now which one do we consider the legit NOA1 date? anybody know?

  7. Hellou Hellou!!! Yups, they are right! (You can check my whole history with a mess up fee in my signature's timeline) Haha, it took 2 weeks (including the holidays) for them to send it back. The rest is easy peasy xD But you HAVE to wait for them to send the package back to send the correct fee again!

Cheers! You can stay January, I guess. (Just don't tell your soon to be fellow Feb Filers  )

    Diana!!

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply! I hope i get it back in the mail this week. One more question, did you guys sent a personal check? Coz i sent a cashier's check the first time and i don't know if it really matters what kind of check. I just don't want any mistakes anymore

  8. Hi I'm new here and we filed on January 15. I just stumbled on this site and upon reading your post, I just realized that I sent the wrong fee. I know for a fact that the Dallas lockbox had received our application because I checked it at the USPS website. it's now 5 days since they received it and I wanna know how long it will take them to send my application packet back so that I can send them the right amount of check. totally sucks to have gotten it wrong the first time :-(

also if we end up sending it back in February, does that make us February filers? I kinda like the vibe of the January filers!
