Since things are happening so quick, it is throwing a curveball to our plans! Am I correct in the fact that we have 4 months from the date the I-129F was approved to get the visa? I noticed that Neko has an interview scheduled 1 month after getting the NOA2. Can we delay the process by "dragging our feet" on getting her documents to the embassy? We need to have the K1 in hand by end of July/beginning of August or it will mess things up for us.

Thanks for the congrats. I must be honest, when I opened my email and saw a message from the USCIS, my initial thought was RFE! I do not know how this happened so fast for us (maybed the Japan earthquake theory is correct)! For all of you still waiting, be patient, yours will come!

Wow awesome! Now I'm worried since our packets were received the same day as yours was and I haven't heard anything yet. Can you tell me which came first the check clearing or the notification? Also, did you get notified via text or e-mail? I keep checking e-mail like a million times a day and calling bank to see if check was deposited. Sorry for all the questions, appreciate any info you have, thanks. Ugh, wish I could stop obsessing...
I got the email/text first last night around 1030PM AZ Time.....check still hasn't cashed yet. I'm sure yours is on its way, fingers crossed for you!

I see your fiancee is from Japan, how is she? This is such an awful tragedy and my prayers are with each and every person who is going through this horrible catastrophe. Best of luck to you both.
Thank you for your concern and your prayers. She is fine as of now. She lives in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture so everyone there is a little nervous about the nuclear power plants to the east.
I think you are right about just waiting.....like they say, "a watched pot never boils."

Ok, so the TSC received my I-129F packet on 3/11/11 but they have yet to cash the check nor send me an email verification......should I be worried that something is wrong w/ my paperwork???? Or should I just continue to wait out???

Just dropped off the K1 Visa application in the mail today...I have my fingers (and all of my toes) crossed that I didn't miss anything!!!!!!

Hello All,
My fiancee is filling out the G-325A form for our K-1 visa application. She is a Japanese national, but studied for 3 years in the U.S. and as such has an old Social Secuity Number. I believe this SSN was only assigned to her as a foreign exchange student. Does she list this SSN in the SSN block on the G-325A (or should she leave it blank)?
