  1. Hi Everyone,

so finally our package has been sent to the Lagos Embassy and I am concerned now. I am hoping that someone can

give me some advise. I know we should be expecting Package 3 now so here are my questions:

    - how will they deliver the package 3, via DHL?

    - how long should we wait for the package before contacting the Embassy?

    - what is the best way to return package 3, by hand?

    - how soon will the package 4 come after we return package 3?

    - can we go ahead and schedule the medical examination - where do I get the information for the doctor(s) approved?

    - I have been reading comments about the interview process but any additional advice about the process at this

point as well as the interview will be greatly appreciated

thank you all for your support and great advice.

  2. hello everyone,

you are right. i verified the information with my friend. the petitioner is her US citizen parent not sibling.

and she was initially F1 category. you guys know this stuff really good. you always give sound information

no one needs a lawyer with this Forum. what is this LPR? Also, is there anything she can do at this point

she will be devastated when her brother breaks the news to her this weekend

    thank you all

  3. hi,

her PD was July or August 2005. she was at the point where she was been scheduled for her interview in Nigeria

and one of the forms she had to fill asked her who was migrating with her. in an effort to be truthful she

added her husband's name to the list. She got married since 2005. now they got a letter in the mail stating

that since she is now married her category has changed and now she is now married sibling of a US citizen.

for the category NVC is currently working on 2001 so she is probably going to wait another 10 yrs. Is there

any way out of this situation or any suggestions?

  4. Hi Everyone,

I am hoping that someone will be able to help. I have a friend who filed for his sister years ago

finally she was scheduled for her interview this year and has since gotten married. They got a letter

from USCIS/NVC stating that her status has changed because she is now married and has to wait for

several years. Any advice on what we can do at this point? it is so frustrating

  5. I don't think you need a lawyer, if you carefully follow the directions and supply all the necessary documents. Do some research and read up about what you need to send to USCIS here at VJ. Create a checklist of itmes that you need and review your package several times before you submit.

that is what i did, and I did not get any RFEs. I have a friend who has applied for several of her family members and she does it all by herself. you just need to be careful and pay attention to detail. Save your money, you are going to need it for all the fees, medical, travel etc

    GOOD LUCK!!

  6. Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that after 174 days our NOA2 was approved today.

I just joined, but i have been here almost daily. The information provided

has been very helpful. I think VSC is working on the last July filers. I checked

some of the EAC# close to mine and several were approved in the last couple

of days so keep hope alive if you are still waiting. GOD IS FAITHFUL.

Can anyone tell me how to get my information from the NVC?

thanks for all the "unknown" encouragement. GOD BLESS YOU!!
