AOS/EAD sent in earlier this week... let the thumb twiddling ensue. Hoping for a miraculously quick turnaround

Visa approved last week (Aug 10) but now they've screwed up his fingerprints and they're making him come back to the Consulate tomorrow to get them fixed. Problem is we've booked his flight for the 20th under the promise that the visa would have arrived within 3-5 days of his interview... anyone have any tips on how to assure that he gets the visa before Saturday the 20th? We shouldn't have to wait longer/spend more money on a new flight for the CONSULATE'S mistake! ...

Hi, was wondering the outcome? We had our interview in Dublin on 8/15/11 and received an email on 8/17 that we have to contact the embassy in connection with the k1 visa. I was wondering if it had anything to do with the fingerprints because my fiance was nervous and was really shaky when his prints were taken. We have to wait until tomorrow to call, and we are terrified!

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. It turned out fine; he made it clear to the officers that he had already booked the ticket once he had received confirmation of the visa approval and they were very nice to accommodate him and process his visa on the same day of the fingerprint re-do, while he waited. Hope everything has gone well for you!

Hi! Sorry been busy with work/travel. I actually live in NYC already, and my fiancee is currently in the UK hoping to make it over here soon. He just had his medical last week and it went well so we are crossing our fingers that he will get his interview scheduled soon How are you guys doing?

Hi! Thanks for your comment. The 10/5 date was an error-- our actual submission of the I129F form was on 11/5/2010, so pretty much 5 months and one week on the dot.
