Visa approved last week (Aug 10) but now they've screwed up his fingerprints and they're making him come back to the Consulate tomorrow to get them fixed. Problem is we've booked his flight for the 20th under the promise that the visa would have arrived within 3-5 days of his interview... anyone have any tips on how to assure that he gets the visa before Saturday the 20th? We shouldn't have to wait longer/spend more money on a new flight for the CONSULATE'S mistake!

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. It turned out fine; he made it clear to the officers that he had already booked the ticket once he had received confirmation of the visa approval and they were very nice to accommodate him and process his visa on the same day of the fingerprint re-do, while he waited. Hope everything has gone well for you!
