  1. Hello! We are crying for our process to speed up and you are asking if it's too soon? :). No its not. Some cases are completed in 90 days. With an RFE, I was approved within that timeframe. All the best. Enjoy a really speedy process.

Not complaining or want this to take any longer, I had my share of "waiting" and it's no fun. I was just asking because I have the mindset that everything that has to do with USCIS must take a while and when we received these 2 e-mails we were surprised but my wife and I are very happy, especially because we have a 8 month old baby and her dad who lives in Brazil is dying to meet him so the sooner the better. Thank you and good luck with yours!

  2. Hello everyone, I have obtained my citizenship in Feb. and applied for my wife's GC a week later. When i originally sent my tax returns i made a mistake so they sent me an RFE stating that I did not make the minimum to be a sponsor (but I actually do) so before I sent the original ones to IRS I fixed the errors and sent the revised one back with the RFE letter and it's been over 2 weeks now. Yesterday I received an email for I-765 card production and today I received another one for I-485 interview at NBC (hopefully the letter will say ATL office otherwise it's going to be a long trip) scheduled for May 17, is that normal processing time or is this because of the tax return issue?

    Thank you all in advance!

  3. I was approved for my GC on 5/3 but due to having one thing on my fbi check he asked me to get the disposition papers and send it to him. At the end of the interview he said i was approved and would order the card as soon as i sent those papers which i did 2 days later but i still haven't received my card. The incident happened 10 years ago but i not charged or went to jail. I made an infopass appointment for the 20th but any input before would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  4. I got my NOA1 on dec 3/10 for my aos and nothing happened ever since. I have received my EAD already so my question is, how long does it take for them to approve or do something on my case? Acording to VJ timeline it takes 105 days from biometrics to receive a response but don't they send u a letter for interview before? My mother (usc) applied for me in 2003 and in 2006 my prority date became current but they never sent me an approval letter or nothing so thats why i'm so nervous about it.

    Thanks!

  5. Standard Boiler Plate, nothing will be on the letter, they will send you an EAD card either with the letter of seperate from the letter.

MOVING to WORK/Traveling during Immigrations forum....

I got two notices saying they ordered the production of the card one saying the 10th and the other one 15th. When will the card arrive or where does it usually come from and does it mean they sent the card already?

    Thanks!

  6. "On February 16, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I just received this message and my question is, what type of instruction will it be on this letter?

  7. "On February 15, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I have just received this message but last week i had received the same message but it said the 10th was the day they ordered the production of the card. Is this normal to receive 2 messages with 2 different dates?

Sorry, the message i received today was saying 15th

  9. Cool, thanks :)

Your EAD and your GC are independent of one another. You will receive either a notification of transfer to the CSC (California Service Center) or an interview letter. You're still within normal processing times for this, so it'll depend on how busy your local CIS office is. Have a look on the Case Filing and Progress Reports forum for the November filers, to follow along with people adjusting at a similar time to you. You can also search the timelines at the top, and see how long it's taken people who've been through the same kind of immigration journey at your local office.

Your EAD, as the notice says, can take up to 30 days to arrive. You'll usually see the status change a couple times over the next few days. This is perfectly normal as they order it, mail it and then close the status again.

    Great, thanks!

  10. So i got this email regarding my EAD and my question is, does this mean it was approved, how long till it arrives and untill i get my GC?

"On February 10, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

    Thanks for the help!

  11. Forgive me if this is not the right place to post this question but my mother (USC) filed my I-130 and not only took a very long time to be approved but when it was approved they never sent us an approval letter so she to make an appointment to find out the status, now we sent the i-485 on nov and biometrics were done in dec but they didnt even approve or said anything about the employement authorization and thats the leat i need right now so she wants to contact the state rep or senator to have them take a look at it because we dont want to wait 4 years past the date it should have been approved.

Thanks and i apologize if this is not the right place for my question.

  12. That's what i was thinking too, they must have misplaced it and don't want to admit to it. My only problem is that I could have done so much if I had my GC 4 years ago and could now apply for jobs that require citizenship by instead of waiting for my AOS I could be waiting for my naturalization application.

Once I get my GC I will schedule an Infopass and try to maybe apply for my naturalization but who knows? maybe I'll get it!

  13. Make an Infopass appointment and speak to an Immigration Officer, take all documents you have regarding your case and they will be better able to advise you on what to do and where you stand and what your next step should be. You can make the appointment online. Good luck.

I thought about that so i'm going to wait for my gc and set one up.

    Thanks!

  14. Moving this to Citizenship forum.

However not following what's I-130 have to do with adjustment of status??

Need much more detailed account of your case.

Are you son/daughter of a naturalized citizen, and are you asking about citizenship through a parent?

filed I-130 march 2003 and never heard of anything else until naturalized mother made an appointment on June of 2010 that our application was approved a long time ago but they never sent us an letter stating that no current address was found. I just want to know if the time my I-130 was approved counts (since they were the ones at fault for not sending approval notice) so i can apply for citizenship on i get my GC.
