In my wife's case having 10 years from RCMP helped. Having a certificate from the British police will help in yours too.

We couldn't get proof.

The trouble was that her last registered household was in Fujian province which is the closest to Taiwan and, hence, the strictest. There was some low-level bureaucrat who refused to do either.

We did consider that maybe the best answer would be to write to the consulate and have them refuse, which of course would be in writing.

I see you applied for a K-3 visa. We've been trying to figure out for some time if the K-3 visa is still available. It has been the case in the past that NVC was administratively closing the K-3 visa because the IR/CR-1 became available. Please post your experiences. Thanks - Alex.
