I think I am more anxious than she is. Tomorrow she heads out to spend the night in Frankfurt for her interview on Wednesday. We will let you know how it goes

4 days in mail transit time if you count Sat I will be coming out on the 21st to spend a week with her family. Miri told me she put an earlier travel date of the 29th vs the 5th of Nov.

Best of luck to you. I am going to email a few other people from Germany on here that got the Visa in hand in 3-5 days and see if they opted to pick it up at the Embassy or had it mailed. Also found a couple that were over a month. I will let you know what I find out and what our plan will be.

Just got a hold of them. 8 calls this time. Miri's interview is on Oct 19th at 8:00 A.M.

I used this number +49-69-7535-0. Just tell the operator you need to check the status of your visa. They will put you into another automated system that you press 8 to talk to someone. If you call at the right time it "may" transfer you to a live person. Wait a bit but keep calling back if it hangs up on you.

They guy I talked to before was really nice. It took about 6 calls to get someone though. He is the one that told me we didn't need to wait for packet 3 to send in the forms. As long as you give them your FRN# and know birthdates you should be able to get the latest status. They will only take calls on visa status on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4 local time.

That is great news! I am thinking about calling tomorrow to see if the packet has been assigned to anyone yet and if I can get the interview date vs waiting for Packet 4. I want to try to fly to Germany @ 10 days after the interview and spend a week with Miri and her family and hopefully fly back here together.

Her tracking is showing it got there at 10AM Thursday morning.

She just sent it express...that should have a tracking number for it.
