  1. I would report it to them and surrender the documents. You would not be breaking any laws by sitting back and letting it expire, but it would be better to turn them in, thereby generating a record of your doing so.

    Should another American propose to you, make certain to tell him about this unfortunate episode up front. This way, he can tell them in his I129f petition that he was satisfied from day 1 that you made an honest mistake and were not looking for some sort of green card sham or other fraud.

    I know this is not the case, but you would think they would understand that there is no sham or fraud as i will chose not to use the visa. I guess logic is only a small factor.

  3. Hi, I am May. I live in the Phils. I got approval for K1 one month ago and got my visa. Our relationship went bad and my U.S. fiancee changed after that. I no longer wish to marry him. I am still in my country. How do I tell the embassy? If I wish to marry in the future, will the fact that I already had K1 stop me from getting it again or make it too hard? Also, would there be a time limit like 1 or 2 years before I could be succesful at getting another K1?
