ah such a bummer! i wonder why they are sending out rfe's. i am not impressed with the uscis or else myself for screwing something up! let me know why you got rfe'd when you find out. i think mine may be because of the fact i haven't got a ssn yet

Nope they do not just issue one. K-1 visa holders have to apply for an SSN.

The only time the SSN is issued and mailed without applying is with a CR-1 / IR-1.

quick question on this, the I94 is the thing stapled in the passport correct? i just sent my aos and i got rfe'd already! i just cant figure out what its from! i am pretty sure it said on the thing he stapled in my passport was an I94.

yeah i tried to get one as well and just got sick of trying. i am just assuming they will issue a number with the green card or ead so i am not even trying anymore. i havent needed it for anything thus far and i have car insurance and a bank account set up here too.

I am just starting to fill out my AOS stuff now, and I have had a really hard time finding a civil surgeon to complete the records. I am just curious if anyone has had luck, or if anyone has done it in Phoenix that would be better! I called a bunch of places and they all want to charge 130 even thought the medical is completed. Does this seeem a bit ridiculous just to fill out a couple lines and certify it.

ah someone else doing aos too! i was wondering if its even worth it to do the ead because i thought it expires in 90 days anyways, and thats usually how long it takes to get it, or am i misinformed?

yeah depends on the consulate. i am pretty sure my noa2 and interview are two months apart but i also did request an interview date and got it. march 23rd for me!

yeah do it, i think its also to see what other countries you have entered etc, we got rfe'd for not having it done.. now it makes total sense why they'd want it all but we weren't thinking.

Hey, I'm just curious if anyone else going through Vancouver consulate has got their interview date recently, and how far in advance they're booking them. NVC just forwarded packet 3 to Calgary, so I'm hoping we can get a quick interview date!

we waited six months to get an rfe because our pictures weren't date stamped. finally got our noa2 on monday! dont worry, it'll come soon enough.
