  1. Sorry for the late post, was crazy busy getting tickets for the wife and baby to get here on Friday.

Yes approved and received visa the same day from embassy.

Wife got there at 8am and did not get out until past 3pm. Long day for her since my two year old daughter can't sit still for more than 10 mins.

Big shout out to Saylin for her free advise. And thank you to the countless others for their moral support and advise.

    Good luck to everyone else.

  2. Please add me to the list, July 5th for my wife.

  3. CC and SIF on May 24th.

Should be happy but am very disappointed with the whole NVC process. What I thought would be the easy part of the whole ordeal turned out to be worse than USCIS.

So now I am getting the standard let eight weeks pass before calling and interviews are only scheduled during the second week of any month. After being on this forum for five months now, I know these statements are standard answers these NVC morons are reading back.

    Very disappointed!

  4. I will agree with KimSue, NVC is a lot more stressful than USCIS was. At least at USCIS, you just waited for your turn.

All my documents have been at NVC since middle of April and I continue to receive false RFE emails that they don't have all my documents. Very frustrating, which is a nice way to put it without cussing.

The standard answer from NVC operators of waiting 20 days is getting old very fast.

    Get your stuff together NVC.

  5. Questions about sending in Form DS-230.

Looking at the NVC bible, it does not seem to me that I need to send in anything that proves that I am married to the beneficiary. Am I assuming correctly that my wife will need to do that at the embassy during the interview?

And, the bible is asking to send in a divorce decree if married before. As the petitioner, do I need to send in my divorce decree or are they only asking for a divorce decree from the beneficiary?

Thanks in advance to all that answer.

  6. Thank you again Saylin, you are a life saver.

So another update on my case. I just paid my $88 AOS fee online and had my wife email the DS-3032 (using the email template that Saylin told me about on page 1).

I guess we are officially on the move. Much better feeling than when we were waiting on USCIS. LOVE IT.

    Good luck to everyone else.

P.S. Saylin, please standby for further questions in a few more days.

  7. Quick update and followed by a question:

After receiving our NOA2 on March 30th, our case was entered into the NVC system on April 12th and today I was able to add our email addresses. The nice lady that I talked to told me that the two of us should receive email instructions in 4-6 weeks but also added to call back in two weeks if we haven't received any messages.

So the question is what is a more realistic time frame to receive those emails so we can send our choice of agent form and pay the AoS bill?
