  1. My Wife and I just went trough the whole process of the interview at Cd Juarez, I should start by saying that as soon as you get your appointment package, You should call the Consulate to get the biometrics appointment done before the interview ( usually a day or two before the interview ) The medical exam even know they tell you is only $180 dollars is not be prepare to pay at least $340.00 and up depending on the vaccines that you need ( trust me it can go up all the way to about $600 dollars )the exam went very smooth it my wife 4 hrs to get her exam done and We got the results back the same day, at the biometrics appointment it took us about 1 hr to get it done, at the Interview I was not allowed to go inside the Consulate with my Wife, She went inside and it took Her almost 4 hrs for the interview, finally She came out with good news the officer told Her that Her visa was approved and that She was going to received Her visa at the " Lopez Mateo DHL office " that's why it is very important that you call the consulate before you go the interview, because that way you can choose what DHL office you want your passport deliver to, I choose the Lopez Mateo office because was closer to the Consulate, it took about 2 days to arrive, don't be discourage when you call the Consulate to choose where you want your passport deliver to, They will tell you that it may take up to 6 weeks to arrive but listen to that, after my Wife got her passport we went to the International bridge to get Her passport stamped and cross the border to El Paso, TX. by the way there is a hotel right across the consulate that charges you about $40 dollar a day and you got everything close ( Walmart, the mall, Mcdonalds ) just make sure you call 15 days on advance to get a room, overall it went very good, but My wife and I may still have to comeback to Cd Juarez to get my Stepson visa done since We have some issues with His biological dad, He don't want to sign the form to let my stepson move to the states, but that's another story, good luck to all of you and if you have a question please send me an E-mail.

  4. Hello ! I just need some help with this DS-260 form I received an Email from the NVC saying that my case was approved for the electronic processing, It also says that I should not send any paper forms to the NVC center because this will delay my case, that all originals forms should be be presented at the day of interview at the embassy wich on this case is the CJ embassy. My question is: DO I STILL HAVE TO SEND ALL THE ORIGINALS DOCUMENTS AS THE I-864 AND THE DS-230 + THE CIVIL DOCUMENTS TO THE NVC CENTER ? I'n a little confuse please help... :help:

  5. Hello everyone !

I just want to thank you All in advance for your help in this matter.

last December I went to spend my vacation time with my wife in Mexico, I talk to her today and seems like She is having some "pregnancy symptoms" my concern is that She may be having some issues with Her pregnancy like "low blood pressure" and other health issues, I'm a USA citizen and I apply for a K-3 visa and also we are waiting for our NOA 2 letter on a I-30 petition, I file these forms on September of 2010, and our case is still under review; is there anything I can do to speed up our cases to bring Her over to the USA ?

Any help with this matter will be very appreciated, Thanks and God bless.

  6. Coupla things -

    1. I-130's for a CR-1/IR-1 visa benefit from NVC Electronic Processing at NVC, after the I-130 petition is approved.

    2. K-3 is effectively dead - please read/review:

    Comparison on K-3 vs CR-1 - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/204324-wondering-if-i-made-a-mistake-marrying-in-us/page__view__findpost__p__3060767

    K-3 administratively closed - http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together

    3. Filing an I-129F for a K-3 will effectively slow down the approval process on the I-130 - anywhere from 3 to 11 weeks at USCIS, lost, gone - if you've done it already - sorry - some one gave you bad advice - CR-1/IR-1 is superior visa, compared to K-3 - and the 'reasons' for the K-3 have been mostly dealt with, time and timing for I-130 approvals decreased dramatically over the last 8 years from 3 years to 5 months.

    4. For costs - please review the Guides Section here (train yer eyeballs up, find the word Guides, click it, and choose a document set)

    Good Luck !

Thanks Darnell, your info is very appreciated

  7. Hello to everyone that is involve in this tedious process, I'm new in here and as you All know I'm a little confuse with all this "immigration procedures".

I file a I-30 form for my wife that lives in Mexico, on October 6 2010 I got my first NOA letter, right after, I file the 129-f form to have Her here with me, on October 20 2010 I got the NOA letter for the 129-f form. I been checking my cases on the USCIS homepage but both of the forms hasn't been touch since, should I be concern with this or should I wait a little longer for them to review my forms ?

I also seen some forums that say that the K-3 visa process is dead, and if is dead what is the waiting process for the I-30 form, and the cost of the forms involve with procedure ?

Any help with this is very appreciated, thanks and God bless :help:
