I am new to the site and honestly never thought I would need to know this type of information until I met a girl in the Philippines online and have fallen in love with her. I am going there to meet her the first of April and am planning on taking a ring with me to propose. I have been reading a lot on here and looking over the forms for the K-1. It is a little intimidating, I am 36 years old and have a bit of a criminal background from my younger days when I was 18 to 23. I had 2 DUI's that I was convicted of and also a possession of marijuana. For the possession I served 10 day work release. So I am wondering if this will affect my chances of qualifying. Also I make just under 40K but pay a lot of bills so I don't have any money in savings. I am not really sure what they are looking for with the financial information. If anyone could give me their opinion on these topics I would greatly appreciate it.
