  1. i just got mine last sat, 02/05; my interview was 01/28. You need to call 2go at (02)528-7136, wait time is like 5min but just be patient, someone will answer the line. every 4pm (mon-fri), they get a manifest from the embassy which has the names of the applicants whose visas are ready for delivery for the next day, if you live within metro manila. you can call them after 5pm, closing time is 6:30pm so you would know if your visa has been printed and is ready for delivery. they'll give you the tracking number over the phone once they have your name na in the manifest. then you can just ask how long it would take if you live outside metro manila. this way, you'll have an idea when you're getting the packet and visa and not waste time waiting and not knowing (i was waiting for like the whole week and can't go out of the house! :( )

  2. hi again! :)

this is a follow-up to my earlier post about how to contact my fiance once at POE. we've decided to use the calling card that he can buy from US and just give me the pin since Globe roaming is $2.00/min so not a very good idea. Now the question is, what's the calling card called? and is it good for any payphone or it's for a specific one only? im just not sure how it works there..thank you in advance for your help guys! :)

  3. hi there...congratulations....i have a questions..i hope its ok with you..when they asked ur papers such as birth certificate,NBI and cenomar..you just give it to them one by one?i mean not in a folder? wt abt the question"do u intend to pursue ur career in the US? wts ur specific answer?just curious sis..since we will be expecting our NOA2 in february.did the American consulate ask u the papers like wt the filipino interviewer does?

thank you and God bless..have a safe trip..

    hi there!

you can give the documents one by one or just give them all together, it doesnt matter really :) and he/she won't be giving them back to you so even before you reach the consulate's window for the final interview, he would have seen every document already. I just answered that maybe someday I might work over there but my priority is my husband-to-be and our future family. :) just tell them the truth and you'll be fine! goodluck! :)

  4. my interview was scheduled for 6:30am and i was there by 5am (excited & nervous!) :P but there were a lot of people already so the guard started calling those with 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45 appointment and told us to sit (in order) on the benches in the immigrant area.

waited like an hour...just sitting and hungry so for those who are going for an interview, make sure you've eaten na. you can't bring any food or liquid inside but there's booth inside with some crackers and chips and bottled water you can buy.

by 6am, they started letting us in by 5's. they'll scan everything so make sure you dont bring any electronic gadget or you'll get in trouble with the security people. first line is to get your queue number where they asked for the DS forms, receipt and your photos. (don't worry there are guards and employees who'll assist you in every corner). once you have your queue number, sit and wait for your number to be flashed on the screen for the initial interview. it would tell you what window to go to. Or you could be called first for fingerprinting, they dont flash your number for this so be attentive. They'll call the names and tell you to fall in line by the window 16 or 33.

my initial interviewer was a Filipino guy, very friendly. he asked for my NBI, Birth Certificate, CENOMAR while asking questions like the name of my fiance; how me and fiance met; how many times he visited me; what his job is; if i've ever been out of the country, how long and what was the purpose of the trip; he asked if my fiance has ever been married and asked for the copy of the divorce decree; he asked if my fiance gives me money and i said no so he asked if i have a job and i said yes (maybe they'll ask for receipt for this so bring if you have any)then he asked for support of evidence which I've put in one folder (we have the competed I-134, 2010 & 2009 W2s, 1040 and most recent 6mos bank statements); then he asked if i have pictures, letter, emails, phone records so i started pulling them out of my folder but he didnt look at them and just said the consulate would be looking at them. And we're done, told me to wait for my name to be called for fingerprinting.

So i waited for another 30min and my name was called and was instructed to go to this window and bring my queue number. they call people here by 5's as well. That took like 5min only then you wait for your number on the screen for the final interview.

The consulate was an american guy who asked me first how i was doing. Everybody was just friendly on that day. He first asked me to raise my right hand and he swore me in. Then the questions began. Who is your petitioner? How old is he? Have you ever been married? Do you have children? Does he have children? How many times has he been married? Do you promise to marry him within 90 days of your arrival in the US? What does your fiance do for fun? (I said he likes singing so he asked me what songs he sings haha!) All the while he was busy looking and flipping through the pages of now a very thick file of the petition which i think includes the original I-129F petition, medical Result, and the forms you gave on that day. He also asked about my fiance's job and if i have plans to pursue a carrer in the US. He asked for our photos so i gave him all the pictures i brought, he looked at those then said, "Ok ma'am, looks like everything is ok, your visa has been approved! You can wait outside for your name to be called." I was soooo happy to hear those words!!!

Then you just wait again for your name and they'll give you the courier's form to fill out. Then you go home. So I took a cab to get home fast so I can call my fiance! This was one of my happiest days ever!! Wish everyone goodluck on their journey and hope you all get to experience a smooth interview as well.

  5. hello all,

i went to my interview today and got approved! !

im wondering how many days is the normal delivery of the visa right now and also there is a requirement for the CFO seminar, Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US bound, and im not sure where i get that. does it come with the visa or it would be a form given at the seminar??

    thanks :)

  6. hello all,

i got all the required documents listed in the packet for K1. i just have to clarify, does my fiance need to send me a copy of the original I-129F and a new letter of intent for me to bring to the interview?

    thank you

  7. hello all!

i just wanna share something that can be of help. when scheduling your appointment online, you need to create and remember your password since you would need that every time you check your appointment schedule or if you've forwarded the letter to your email and need to print it at a later time. Now here's the trick, just click first on the link STRONG PASSWORD POLICY, it's blue just below the password field and follow each instruction (like you need to have at least 1 CAPITAL LETTER; 1 special character..etc) and you should be fine.

    hope this helps someone :)

  8. Hi I have a question, my parents already has an interview schedule and I've read here you need to fill this form in this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ScheduleanAppointment.html

To enter document delivery address. Do they have to do this before they go to their medical? They haven't got any schedule for medical but we are planning to have them fly 2 weeks from now to have their medical at St Lukes.

Now, I have my parents try to enter their info on that website to put their delivery address since they already have the interview schedule but we can't seem to proceed. It always gets stuck on the Application Validity Page, it won't accept the password we put on there. What gives?

Anyone having the same problem? Or is it just us? When we put in a password it will give us this red asterisk (invalid message): invalidx.png

Anyone who could shed some light for us, we really appreciate it.

hi! i hope im not too late to help you, i had that same problem when i was scheduling my appointment online. Just click on the link strong password policy and just follow each instruction like it has to have at least 1 Capital letter, 1 special character (*, #, @..) and you should be fine. :)

  9. The bar code is from the 156 You do not need the 160

thank you! it accepted the barcode from the 156. but when i tried entering a password, it won't go through. is there a specific password they have assigned that im not aware of? im sorry i have too many questions..

  10. hi all!

is DS-160 needed for the K1 interview? It's not included in the documents listed in the packet but when setting up appointment online, it asks for the DS-160 barcode so im a little confused. help pls!! thanks

  11. I had to bring the letter from the Embassy to pay, because they attached the payslip to that paper. I am not sure how others did it but I was told by the BPI people that I needed my passport and letter. :) Congrats!! :)

And I was able to schedule online with no problem, I even scheduled it the same day I paid :) But now I think you are asked to wait until the payment is cleared. Once the system is updated that you have paid, you can schedule.. even if you call by phone, they will still schedule you using the online system. they will just do it for you. better to do it yourself :)

thanks messybrownhair! :) hmmmm I don't have yet the letter from the embassy. we're still waiting for the email from NVC, hopefully I can use that one. just a little more patience..

and congratulations too for you visa and engagement! :)

  12. hello to all vj members!

It took 5 looong months of waiting for the NOA2 but thanks to all vj members for the help and guidelines, we didnt get any RFE. We got approved Dec 22 but we got the email Dec 31st maybe because of the holiday. My fiance called NVC yesterday and was given the MNL case number over the phone. Now my question is, what do i need to pay the K1 visa at BPI? I understand it has to be paid first before we can set up an interview. And just to clear, is it online appointment or calling the embassy is better when scheduling the interview? Any input would be much appreciated. thanks thanks to all!!
