Hi hopeful, the job is great! Well, life is just great!! I started 2012 with the right foot!! Already got a promotion and I'm sooooo happyyy!!! God is always fair and loving... I went through so much and now everything is falling into place! I'm very blessed!!!

well today ends my 60days wait period, should i contact them or just keep waiting..what do you think guys?

I would suggest for those in 60 day mark to call and put a service request if you dont hear from them in a week... it is ok to call and question once in a while... (I did it)

Hey liveurlife, I just received the email that they registered my permanent status just like the one u got. Did u get ur card yet? How long did it take? I'm so excited to see my card!!! The officer said another 2 weeks... Affff can't wait!

I hope I hear some good news too. It's been 45 days since I send my RFE.

It will be one year in 15 days since I applied for VAWA. Sometimes you lose patience when you are almost close to your destination. That is what I'm feeling right now.....when will I finally reach there. When will I hear back from USCIS??

you are very close... mine also took a year... I recieved my approval a few days shy of 60...

PS: I never had a RFE, Just a complain/renew prima facie that I sent them...

so my friends from visajourney,

today was the final step in this crazy and long journey called VAWA...

The interview was super fast, she asked for my passport & I 69,, when did i come in last time, if I was still married, have u ever been arrested, are u a terrorist bla bla...

did not ask for any proof of income, only where do I work...

Unfortunally my fingerprints were expired, she gave me a letter to do my biometrics again and arranged for me to do it today. The officer told me that should take 3 weeks for my card to arrive...

So my lawyer said that I might need to do finger prints again.... I don't get it?? Did anybody went through this? My last biometric was in August 2010. I did renew my wad twice already.

Yeah guys that timeline is misleading... Just know that within 8 to 12 months u will hear something... Keep it positive!!

but you dont need to ceremony here with the marriage certificate you go at the court house and they will tell you exactly what steps to do, you dont need to remarry again

she is here? she can register the wedding here , even if she get divorce you can register your wedding, for the 7 years they been here or in her country? if she is in her country right now she can go at sua ambbasy and register her marriage
