hi my work said that they don't do employment letters since it is a large company, and instead gave me a website to go to where i can show how much i make for immigration purposes, do you think this will be a problem not having a an employer letter but this paper that says alll the information that i am employed full time, and how much i have currently made with them in the past years, and what i do? i was thinking just printing this out, and asking them to stamp it?

Hi,
Is it true that my German finance doesn't need to obtain a police certificate for the USA, even tho it says to get a police certificate for every country you have lived since 16 years old, he lived in California, USA for two years previously.
Thanks for the advice.

Hi everyone!
we just got packet 3 two days ago, but on the Form DSL-1076 checklist do we need to send in police certificates from everywhere he has lived for more than a year with the packet 3? or does he just bring it with him to the interview??
Thank you

Hey thanks Severina for the helpful information!!!

Hello would anyone know if in the packet 3 from Frankfurt, Germany if we are supposed to send evidence, cause i am trying to get everything prepared for when we get the packet in the mail. it says here on the embasey info:
- Cover letter with case number
"Upon receipt of this notification, please download and complete the following forms and follow the steps outlined below
from: http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/step3/
1.) Immediately fill out and mail in:
- DS-230
- DS-156 (in duplicate)
- DS-156K (do not sign form; you are required to sign it before a consular officer on the day of your interview)
- DS-157 (for all male applicants between the ages of 16-45)
- document checklist.
2.) Follow the checklist instructions, collect the documements listed and mail in the signed "Applicant Statement" when all documents are collected:
- K-Visa IV Document Checklist and Applicant Statement
http://germany.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/visa/instructions_for_fiancee_-visa_applicants01-2008.pdf"
so if i am understanding this correctly i my fiance only mails back the DS-230, DS-156, DS157, and the signed "applicant statement" that we have collected all the documents we need to bring for the interview.
Thank you very much if anyone can help!

Hi everyone,
I am getting all the documents together that i need for the affidavit of support... i was wondering if i need a co-sponssor since i just moved back from Germany last March i was there for a year, i didn't have a job for a year in Germany but still filed my tax returns, came back to the us, and have been working for the past 10 months here in the US so i can sponsor my fiance, and i make over the poverty level, do i need a co-sponsor since my 2010 w-2 only shows like a little more than 6 months worth of pay? i make around 30,000 a year... and if i do need a co-sponsor because of that reason, what forms do we fill out for the co-sponsor?? Also do i need to have my 2010 taxes done before the interview?
If anyone can help me with these questions, i appreciate it!
Thank you!

Try having him apply at macys, they have to give everyone an interview if I am not mistaken. Good luck!
