  1. My friend has got the US citizenship, but yet to get US passport. But they have to travel to India for an emergency.. What should be the process? Can they travel on Green card and Indian passport?

Also, in general cases.. once we do get US passport, how long will it take to get Indian Visa or OCI card?

Congrats to ur friend...the process is quite simple...first of all he should have surrendered his green card at oath ceremony..then he should apply for expedite service for US passport. Then he has to surrender his Indian passport. Check travisa outsourcing website for directions to renunciate Indian passport...make sure u check necessary documents required that has to be submitted.. That process takes 3 weeks. He will receive a letter from Indian consulate along with his Indian passport cancelled. Then he can apply for Indian visa or OCI or PIO card. I hope this helps If it's in NY then their phone # is (212) 754-9900... Good luck nd pls update

  2. Hello guys.

I recently attended to a college and was wondering if I would be able to take advantage of the Financial Aid.

I havent submitted the paperwork to fafsa yet since I am applying for U.S. citizenship next week and want to make sure

that I won't have a problems with immigration. I remember hearing that if you are a permanent resident you are not

allowed to use goverment help . So,if I would apply for Financial Aid and if qualify ,would start using free money for college

will I be rejected my U.S. citizenship ? We have a little girl as well and have been on WIC for a year? Would it affect my citizenship app

    lication?

Thank you all for the info!

Hi, I think I can help u with ur concern....I am attending school for last 2 years and I have applied for financial aid , TAP, and all student loans...never had a problem...but make sure on application u mark ur current status ...since u r not citizen yet....u should tick permanent resident...good luck

    HOLTSVILLE office ny

  5. I had my interview in Holtsville, NY on May 21st. Nothing to complain about. The interviewer was nice. She asked me 6 questions from the book, asked me to read and write very easy sentence. After that she asked me for my taxes from last year since when I applied I didn't have the one for 2011 yet and then asked for some bank statements from this year. We casually spoke about my husband and his family. She said I was approved and should have my oath ceremony on June 11th. Because my interview was in the afternoon I was not able to get my oath letter on that day (that's what she said). Since that day I have not gotten anything from them. I called to USCIS and they told me I can call after 90 days. All in all, not a bad experience but don't believe in what they tell you. Please email me if you have more questions.

Thanx for taking time out of ur schedule...I really appreciate ur input...I think I m feeling a little better now...thanx again and good luck...hope u get ur oath ceremony letter soon.
