  1. the only affect will be that they cannot issue you the visa until your 2yr HRR has been satisfied....

Actually, they did issue the visa a few days after the interview, but as you know Visa isn't the guarantee of you getting inside the USA, they can still deny you on the POE. So the embassy suggested that IF you are a J1/Exchange Visitor Visa like me, you have to wait until you finish the 2 years requirement first, then you can enter the US safely. :)

  2. Hello Everyone!

    Greetings from Bali-Indonesia. :)

So here's my case. I've been to US using my J1 Visa valid from March-May 2009. And now I'm currently waiting for my K1 Visa interview tomorrow and still thinking of the J1/Exchange Visitor rules:

    - An alien who is a former exchange visitor who has not fulfilled the 2-year foreign resident requirement.

I stated on my DS-156 that I plan to enter the US on June 2011, when I have fulfill my 2-year foreign resident requirement. Though, I'm wondering, will this be an issue? Should I worry about this? Anyone who has thoughts or answer for this, I'd be very grateful for it. :)

  3. Medical Examination in Jakarta went pretty smooth for me.

Make sure you have made an appointment with one of the doctor on the Physician Panel List they gave you though.

I had my medical exam in Medikaloka Clinic and I have to say that it's very professional and it seems like they really know what they're doing. I mean, most of people who came there are doing the medical examination/check up which is required by many different embassies, including USA. So I would suggest you to go there ;)

The medical examination itself actually took a while, mostly because of the number of the people who came for it. I was there from 7.30 until 12.30 so yeah, it took a while. Other than the wait, everything are good, the nurses are friendly and the doctor is very nice and kind :)
