Deer FashionDoll:
I hope you understand that this Visa Bulletin Retrogression thing only applies for those of us in Family Based Visa Categories, and in this particular case we are specifically discussing F2A category. I see in your profile you are a CR1 visa applicant…. so you see Darling… no need to be crushed for you!
Good luck in you journey!
For the rest of us… the only good thing is that Current PD´s are back to normal (4 years waiting) … not artificially inflated and people can plan ahead based on a more realistic scenario. I don´t expect to see any more retrogression and probably dates will begin moving forward at a more normal slower pace, just the way they used to prior to June 2010.
hi,
i think it'll come up in 6-7 months time.... got an idea from the trend since 1992... lets wait n hope for the best!
may God gives us the patience and strength....

FEB 07 ha ha ha... mark it.

hi, the worst which you'll face is the maintenance of a long distance relationship... which is the most difficult thing i've gone thru. also, i don't know about your ambitions in life... i am a medical gradate and cleared USMLE Step 1 and 2 Ck.. i asked for visitors to appear for USMLE Step2 CS but the embassy denied because of petition.... now just waitin n waitin, i don't know ll b able to get a residency or no. i just want to say that nobody is here by mistake..... all have been chosen for some plan... i know patience is our present but the charm in future ll wash off the tears... hope so at least. welcome to this part of life!

i guess it ll b max FEB08... went thru all bulletins since 2007.... still, lets see.

just in 2 3 days.... hold on!
-
hello everyone,
guess march bulletin ll b published within a week time....
lets hope for the best...

If u don't recv interview date before ur spouse become citizen, after ur spouse become citizen update ur case catagory by sending Naturalization certificate copy.
After the finger print, by 4/5wks letter u will get letter about your Citizenship Interview. And normally interview will be 1 month later than the letter issued. And if u passed the interview and lucky enough about availability of Oath date .... then will get Oath date with in 2 wks after oath(keep mind ready to wait longer for Oath Date). And in same day in Oath u will recv Naturalization Certificate. So u need about 12+ wks to complete Naturalization process.
Don't forget to take your Marriage certificate with u in Citizenship Interview ( Though they will not ask for that)
Wishes the Best
thank you very much... waiting for the exam date. gud luck to u too...

I believe when your spouse take the oath ceremony, USCIS will produce cetificate in same day!!
thanks a lot for ur time and advice.
God bless!

GOD mercy to your spouse..as soon as she/he get her/his citizenship..you can send an email to NVC with citizenship certificate attached and request for upgrade from F2A to IR1. You will sure get an interview date within 2 weeks of period...
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT FOR VISA NUMBER BE AVAILABLE>>>
thanks, well how long it'll take to get the citizen certificate?

Hello everyone,
My spouse has applied for naturalization last month, she is called for finger print this 26th. i'm waiting in F2A category since June 2008 with my Priority Date 29th June 2008. my question is, should i wait for my PD to become current or should my spouse update the petition?
please give your expert opinion.
Thanks
-
To OP, my brother had his interview while his PD was not current - he was asked to wait until the PD becomes current again.
SAD!

@ Abdul
I think its not about pressure. In 2009 to till Oct 2010 there was low applicant and therefore the visa availablity is more. But in recent months there was high demand in Family preference category ( high number of applicant) & visa availablity is less than applicant who applied.Thats why they Retrogress for serval months. Hope it will get back to normal within few months.
hii,
i came across many who r waiting since very long... who are waiting to see their kids.... i wish them to be with them soon. i know it feels like getting stuck, but there r many who went thru worse than us... just pray to God, grant us strength to wait.....
gud luck!

go to the embassy info mumbai click on visa to us.yousee the schedule for interview appointments the 15 of each month, look for your case number on the list jan, and feb,
well, this was not my question.... thanks anyway.

i far as i know wen all the consulates around the world sends the statistical data to nvc then only nvc can create a platform for cut off dates. it's better to just wait for the march bulletin rather getting confused. gud luck!
-
hello,
is thr anyone or whom u know who got the interview whose priority date was after cut off dates in the visa bulletin? is it possible?
thanks.
-
hi, i guess those cases ll fall under category 1. still i'm not sure.... lets hope for the best. my case was first completed on sep13th 2010, then they asked RFE and then again they closed it on oct 28th 2010.... then this retrogression disaster....
gud luck to u too dear.
i believe F2A is for spouses of permanent residents(LPR)

If u r from India then u only need only PCC from Passport office in the state u stay and PCC from District Police Office where ur residence is....
u dont need PCC from all places where u have lived since reaching age of 16 ...so relax...this rule is not for India....Different Countries have different PCC as per Reciprocatory .....
Also, now NVC asks for only Passport Office PCC....only....District office PCC is also not required but since Passport Office PCC is issued from Local PCC...u can have both....
thank you for your time and advice....

jj161: its hard to compare since these intervies could be for spouces of US citizens which dont have to wait for PD etc.
IT totally sucks that you were ready by end of october but wern't called for an itnerview even in December.
The other day I read a post from a F2A from India with a PD of 1 jan 2009, who complete his case at nvc in august and his wife had her interview 4th Nov 2010. That guy must have been FAST in sending his docs. My own PD is Sept 2008, |I'm hoping its current in April visa bulitin.

hello everyone,
i was going thru the case numbers who are appointed for the feb interview at the mumbai consulate. there were 70 candidates in F2A category. i believe with case number we can have an idea in which year it was filed. like BMB2008452766 (means case was filed in 2008),(please correct me if i'm wrong) i saw lots n lots of 2008, 2009 and 2010 cases.
my PD is 29JUN2008, and my case was completed on oct2010. just keeping hope to get the interview as soon as possible....
thanks
Spouse going to become US citizen.

Yes! it did expedited my interview. my PD was june 2009. i guess i had to wait for 1 whole yr if we didn't upgrade the case. so u should upgrade asap to IR1. also u can file for joint support( only if your total income is less than 125% of poverty guidelines ..... as mentioned in the list). wish u good luck.... ur husbands PD is Oct 2009... i checked last month PD for F2A, was around June/?? 2008... its okay, get naturalization asap n upgrade the case.
