  1. Yes, It's posible but we don't know those figures so no one can answer that part of the question. So, more importantly, what is his Currant Income to show a means of support?

    thanks Tim/Mav,half a million worth of his property + his savings. current income is from his rental property (6 apartments) but that doesn't shows on his 2010tax that's why i'm worried due to that record.thank so much for your insight!

  2. This topic was partly inspired after reading "VSC at a standstill today..." post on VJ.

    Dear K1 Vermonters :)

    This post assumes that Vermont Service Center (USICS) is undeniably underperforming last months, concerning the “5 month goal” for K1 Fiancée Visa.

    This needs to be corrected!

    How 340 K1’s can do this – yes we are at least 340 K1 petitioners counting what’s left from September plus October, November, December 2010 . This according to Igor’s list.

    Facts:

    Some of them are calling USCIS call center, and the answer is always “call us back in 30 days if you don’t hear from us”

    Writing letters to congressman/senators is another thing we do. But this is more action type of “5 monthers” .

    Actions:

    Write a twitter to this addresses: @USCIS @BarackObama @whitehouse

    And explain in 140 characters that your heart can no longer wait.

    Write them with your words what you feel and how difficult it is to not be together with the one you love.

    Do not curse them or anyone! Use the power of words and believe in them.

    Write them every day. Hi Brad@gelina,liked your photo,I am with you guys!164days here waiting for NOA2 but we heard the same answers from congresswoman that we walked-in,called USCIS...wait for another 30days because we are not in their timeline mark yet! :devil:sent an email 2weeks ago but left noreply! it is really aggravating!So sad that I can't TWEET don't know how to do it either.Just worried guys if VSC Building is in a sinkhole trouble or Hit by Nuclear Radiation that caused paralyzed or backlog???I'm serious!please do understand my feelin' right now,I'm tired of hearing people so disappointed everyday.So,GOOD LUCK to you guys!

    Technical tricks:

    We need to use always one word in our tweets eg: K1 Vermonters, or Vermont fiancée, or something else that we can decide it here on VJ. This will help twitter to make us trend. Trend=News.

    Retweets previous twits of other K1’s.

    If we make it to “touch” someone, than hopefully shifting adjudicator officers to K1’s in Vermont will happen.

    If not, god bless all.

  3. Hi Folks,

    Well, things are starting to roll for our NVC processing and wife and I are both still collecting what we need. The one thing that still has us both confused is the HK police clearance requirements. Wife worked there for 2 years before we got married, so we need one. HK police web site says they need an official letter from the US Govt, with wife's name on it, saying that the US requires the police certificate to process my wife's visa. Does anybody know which letter this is?

    I've searched the forums for hours and read a lot of seemingly contradictory things about this. In one case I read that the letter HK needs comes in a package sent by NVC after they have forwarded the package to the consulate. In another thread, I read that the NVC needs the police certificate to complete the case in the first place, so it must be provided before you even get the letter that says that you need it (I think that's what they were saying). In another case, I read that the wife has to go to the US Embassy (Manila in this case) and get a letter from the embassy stating this requirement.

    Anyway, does anybody have some light to shed on this? I would really appreciate it.

    Hi Magdasal,

    It seems like we are in the same boat and I'm confused as well,..when I was still in HK, I thought about I getting my HK POLICE CLEARANCE before I decided to go home(phils.)And I did visited at their mean office in WANCHAI hoping to sort it out but failed to get it due to lack of documents like;a photocopy of a letter from the relevant US CONSULATE/IMMIGRATION/GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY which contains my name and clearly indicates that the production of the certificate is required.

    Right,..once you received that package sent by the Consulate or NVC that required for HK CLEARANCE,then start gather your documents that HK POLICE asked for;

    a) A photocopy of her Hongkong ID Card/Valid Travel Documents.

    b) A photocopy of a letter from the relevant CONSULATE,her name on it.

    c) A Full set of her fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized police (NBI???)

    d) A Bank draft to the amount of HK$169.00

    Please try to find the CHINESE EMBASSY here in MANILA as soon as possible because I went to the US EMBASSY to asked where should I get my HK POLICE CLEARANCE and they said I must go to the CHINESE EMBASSY.

    Here's the address;

    == Chinese Consulate==

    2-3FL.The World Trade Center

    330 Sen.Gil J.Puyat Ave.Makati City

    Tel#(63)2-8482396 or(63)2-8482395

    Goodluck guys! And I hope these will help you, I couldn't start mine right now because I'm still waiting for our NOA2...SMILE!
