I'm from St. Louis MO
I haven't started the Visa process yet (honestly not sure if I will or not - long story). Anyway, nice to meet you! Welcome to the area!

Sorry I don't have any advice. I just wanted to wish you good luck!

I don't have any direct experience, but my cousin does. They have been married almost 2 years, and he's never had problems visiting. I think the longest he stayed was 30 days at once. He's from the Netherlands, and they are a young couple (20 or 21). Good Luck!!

In my opinion, EVERYONE has a right to complain or vent their frustrations. It shouldn't matter if they just filed yesterday or have been waiting 6+ months. Look at it from this perspective... (in this example both couples have lived apart during the entire relationship)
Couple A: Met for the first time 7 months ago, filed 5 months ago, still waiting
Couple B: Met for the first time 3 years ago, filed 1 week ago (couldn't file sooner, because of several reasons), still waiting
Get my drift?? Just because someone has filed a short time ago, doesn't mean they have less of a right to complain/vent than someone else.
This comes from a non filer, hoping to be one some day.

Black Ice or Labatt's Ice?
Actually neither. If I had to choose, I would say Labatt's because I recognize the name
Shrimp or Steak?

My English OH tried to tell me about the little "bazzle" plant that he had in his kitchen. I told him I didn't know what kind of plant that was and that maybe we don't have those in America.
He was talking about basil.
Same here, along with several others! We get in arguments all the time on who is correct. I always say that the English may have made up the language, but Americans perfected it!

My boyfriend is a British Citizen looking to move over here permanently sometime in 2012. I can't figure out how to make this happen legally by then. He wants to keep he British Citizenship (dual citizenship is ok), and needs to be able to work here. From the research I've done, it appears that he wouldn't qualify for any of the visas either. We aren't engaged, but may be in the future. There are issues that don't allow us to do so now. Are there any ways that he can live and work here for a while temporarily until we can apply for a fiancée visa? Any suggestions?
Anybody from St. Louis, Missouri?
